Guess who returned home safe and sound??? Yep it is Hip Hip Hooray! I was so excited to see him that I inked him right up on a birthday card! Pals Paper Arts had a really neat sketch this week that reminded me of the bokeh technique so I went with it and sponged lots of soft white circles over a watercolored panel. And where was Hip Hip Hooray you might be wondering? Well he didn't get too far........looks like he spent the week on my bookshelf stuck to the back of my Stampin' Up! catalog!
That darn kid Hip Hip! They always seem to find the most interesting hiding places. Maybe he was playing "hide and seek" and it just took you longer to find him. Glad he's back home! Love the card! I am confused on this Bokeh technique...well maybe not confused, but curious. I think I'll have to go online to Splitcoast and find out how to do it. It's a lovely technique and the softness of it in your card is perfect!
ReplyDeleteSo glad the prodigal son returned! I love your bokeh technique -- perfect for this sketch.
ReplyDeleteLinda your card is so pretty. Beautiful technique, although I haven't tried it yet...
ReplyDeletebut how happy are you now that you found your stamp! Man I just hate when I lose one and I KNOW it's somewhere! hugs.
Ha! Glad he's home so you could make this gorgeous card! The bokeh is perfect for the layout which is gorgeous…you're so artsy! :)
ReplyDeleteLove your card! I told hip hip to head on home when I saw him, glad that he finally listened! ;)
ReplyDeleteYou made it! Fun non-Holiday card! So refreshing! Thanks for playing with Pals Paper Arts!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to turn that sketch into a bokeh masterpiece! Hip-hip hooray looks right at home there!
ReplyDeleteYou are too, too clever to see the bokeh technique in this sketch but now that I look at it again, it's so obvious! Brilliant card and your watercoloring is looking good!
ReplyDeleteLOL I'm glad your stamp was found. Now can it help me find mine?!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this card. The bokeh is perfect for that sketch!
