Twitterpated - FMS171
I confess I had to look up the true meaning of twitterpated - and I found.......smitten! Twitterpated is much more fun to say! I also discovered that twitterpated was first used in the movie Bambi by Walt Disney when the wise old owl explains springtime love to Bambi, Thumper and friends. Too cute - just like this new set called You Plus Me and the Stacked WIth Love DSP. Things I never knew 'til I started stamping.....
That wonderful Rita Wright has a terrific sketch ( that I am absolutely twitterpated about ) for us this week at Freshly Made Sketches! Hope you join us!

Babies' Babies! PPA237, PP228
This baby card is headed overseas to welcome a sweet baby girl born this week! Her grandma is one of my best friends and I visited her dad the day after he was born! That's how it goes these days - my baby cards are sent to the babies of my friends' babies! If you are close to my age you understood that sentence perfectly!
The sketch at Pals Paper Arts worked perfectly to focus on the sentiment - which happens to be the challenge at the Paper Players this week! The sentiment is from Celebrate Baby and Hello Honey was swiped and wiped from that marvelous new DSP called Irresistibly Yours to highlight the stars.

The Stamp Review Crew: Valentine Free For All
I am delighted to be joining The Stamp Review Crew~! We have blog hops the first and third Monday of each month and feature one Stampin' Up! set used in oh so many creative ways by our amazing team! It's a great resource to help you make the most out of your stamp sets!
This week however is a free for all - in a good way! We all made Valentines so you should find some ideas to use for your own sweet Valentines! If you arrived here from Bronwyn Eastley's blog I know you have already seen some wonderful designs!
I used a recent photopolymer set called Snuggles and Smooches - perfect for a Valentine or new babies! The sketch from Cas(e) This Sketch was a guide for my design of cascading hearts stamped in Real Red and Crisp Cantaloupe.
Now you are off to enjoy the creations of my wonderful and oh so talented friend Cindy Beach. Cindy and I worked together one year at Convention - supposedly decorating wooden houses. We finished one and just got the base coat on the other one but did we have a great time chatting! The houses sit on a windowsill in my craft room - still unfinished - as a reminder that quite often stamping is about so much more than stamping!
Enjoy the hop!

What's Not to Love......PPA236
A card like this just lends itself to writing a blog post about things I love.......like family, puppies and walks on the beach........but I thought I would list a few things I have loved about the past few days instead........
1. I love that Emma has learned a not quite appropriate word to say when she spills something.......and it is not my fault!
2. I love that my 89 year old mother is still feisty enough to take matters into her own hands. After a tooth extraction she was supposed to return to the dentist a few days later to get the stitch out. It was a cold snowy morning and she called and said, "Don't pick me up for the dentist - I am not going out in this weather. I am going back to bed and don't worry I took the stitch out myself!"
Yes she did and she is perfectly fine - and we all got an extra hour's sleep!
3. And I love the fresh new look of our sketches at Pals Paper Arts thanks to resident artists Kerry Willard Bray and Nicole Watt! Hope you play along!

Gimme Three Steps.......FMS169
Gimme Three Steps..........oh I love that Lynyrd Skynyrd song! Gimme Three Step Stampin'............oh I love that lotus blossom! Now if you will excuse me I am headed towards the door..........
And this what it looked like when I took three steps out that door this morning for my walk......in that wonderful three below weather!
Jen Timko is our sketch designer this week at Freshly Made Sketches - love the strong focal point in her design! I used Blackberry Bliss for my lotus blossom backed by some Moonlight DSP.
SUO Challenge 114 is Dot, Dots and More Dots! That DSP and embossing folder are definitely delightfully dotty!

Sweet Tulips - CTS105
Sweet Dreams DSP made the perfect backdrop for these sweet tulips from Love is Kindness! I love tulips - probably because they are a sure sign spring has arrived. I think I'll be waiting a few months for them to appear since this is what it looks like in my world:
Miss Emma is always happy to help brush off the car!
I used the sketch from Cas(e)This Sketch for my design.

Perfect! FMS168
The bookshelves behind my desk in my craft room look very similar to the ones on my card - except in place of the plant I have a card tree. It is frigid here in the northeast but life in my craft room is good.......books, stamping supplies and a mug of hot tea.....perfect!
I arranged the bookshelves on my card today with images from To Thine Own Shelf by Simon Says Stamp. By adding Stampin' Up!'s Stacked With Love Designer Paper and a few strategic hearts my card became a Valentine!
Amy O'Neil designed a fun sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches - love those slightly askew panels!

Happy New Year! PPA234, CTS104
We closed out 2014 with birthday celebrations and Christmas gatherings but it is time to ring in the New Year! Time to get the decorations put away, hang up a new calendar and start the new year. My card today is clean and sleek - a fresh look for the new year! I used the new photopolymer set Snuggles and Smooches - love those fun squiggles! Also love Emma's fun giggles when my birthday candles were lit!
Pals Paper Arts has an elegant set of colors to start off the New Year!
The sketch from Cas(e) This Sketch inspired my design.
