Fusion: Relaxed Living

Just an easy breezy summery card to send to a friend for an upcoming birthday......although It's Your Day could work for other occasions as well.  

We had two fellows literally wash up on our beach a few days ago just before sunset. They had borrowed a Jetski to take a ride but got lost and then "broke down."  It was definitely their day because on our beach was my son-in-law and the Big Guy. The Big Guy assured them they just needed gas and headed to our garage to get some. My son-in-law is a pilot with a wonderful sense of direction so he quickly plotted a course for them to get back to their starting point.  The Big Guy returned, filled their tank and the Jetski started right up!  They were very appreciative and both guys shook his hand to say thanks.  As the Jetski pulled away my daughter reminded her father he was not supposed to shake hands.  So the Big Guy calmly poured the last bit of gasoline on his hands and rubbed it in.......Adirondack Mountain hand sanitizer.....sigh....

I am a total dog lover so they always make me smile.  This is what else made me smile this week:

Mr. Willie Bear absolutely refusing to share his animal pacis with anyone......but he said no with a smile......

A nice Father's Day photo from my son and crew........

And my daughter reached waaaaay back into the archives for this Father's Day photo!  The Big Guy was about the same age as my son is now in this photo!

I kept my card soft and easy today because after several chilly days the sun came out and the lake was calling.  Just cruising around helps you forget about all the craziness in this world for a while.

                                               

And this summer we have a new scout ready to guide us back to the marina......seems like yesterday that Miss Emma was peeking over that railing.....

Will loved his first boat ride!

Stamp Review Crew - Daisy Lane

The Stamp Review Crew is featuring Daisy Lane today.  When I received my Designer Paper Share this week from Brian King I just had to feature some of the fabulous new DSP as well.  This paper is a sheet from Artistry Blooms and features one of the new in colors - Magenta Madness.  I don't have my new inks yet so I stamped my flowers in Grapefruit Grove and shaded them with Daffodil Delight Blends.....and somehow it all went together!

Many of my friends sent me cards and bookmarks from afar to acknowledge my retirement from the library that I need a few of these cards.   I am a lucky girl......ok I do use that word girl loosely....but even in my seventh decade that girl lives in my heart....

Someone I know was very happy to resume her horseback riding lessons this week! Restrictions are slowly lifting in New York.  Schools remain closed and there are still no team sports or dance classes but the horse barn reopened!  I think Joy got an extra peppermint or two since Emma hasn't seen her in three months!
