Forever in Our Hearts - FMS474

Every dog I have owned has a special place in my heart.  This card is headed to a friend who recently lost her German Shepherd.  They are beautiful dogs and the one I grew up with is the first dog I remember.  I loved that girl!  But it seems that as I have gotten older my dogs have gotten smaller.  Presently I have Abbygirl - a seven pound miniature black poodle who is almost 19 years old.  I have never owned such an elderly dog!  She has lost her hearing and most of her eyesight but she is still quite peppy and happy.  It is amazing how she navigates around our house - including the stairs!  You know what has kept us home for months so she has had lots of extra attention every day.  I know we are on borrowed time with her but as long as she is not in pain we will keep on keeping on!

I turned Judy's great sketch this week to accommodate my image and sentiment!  Adjust as you see fit and join us at Freshly Made Sketches!

Aw, what a sweet card for your friend! I have been lamenting the lack of a pet here lately....lots of cat and dog cards make me long for a "pal". However, I don't miss cat litter or dog poo, so I will just enjoy my friends' pets vicariously through their photos, LOL! Your Abbygirl is PRECIOUS!

Such a sweet card, Linda! I love it. And look at sweet Abbygirl - she's such a lady. I'm sure she wouldn't be happy with you blabbing her age all over the internet, but we appreciate you sharing. ♥

Such a sweet card! Perfect image and sentiment. Sweet little girl too! Our dog has been so spoiled for the last year...she's not going to know what to do when everyone goes back to school and work!! :)

I just love this, Linda... the paper, the darling itchy dog, paw printed ribbon - it has ticked [no pun intended] all my boxes!!
If there were ever a time that I might get another pet [losing them is so hard] I'd love another German Shephard! Your friend will love your card.

I'm missing my beagle - and all the dogs before her, but living peaceably with the decision to not get another. Your friend will so appreciate this adorable card. Just keep hugging your furry girl!

Beautiful and heartfelt card.
Love your Abbygirl, what a sweetheart. 19 is an amazing age.
Right now I am run ragged by my 21 month old Border Terrier.
(Thanks for choosing my bear card over at FMS this week)

Your Abby is gorgeous and so is your card, although I'm sorry you had a need to make this.

This a card for a very sad situation, but yet you managed to give it such a cute and soft feel that will certainly brighten your friend's day. You definitely are the queen of adorable or fun cards, Linda.
