Sometimes things derail in life. Last night my husband asked me to make a get well card for a co-worker. No problem I thought as I headed to my craft room - I'll follow the Mojo Monday sketch. I decided to pick a DSP that I have never used so I pulled out Nouveau Chic and Jackpot. Hmm, nothing too get-wellish about Jackpot - better focus on Nouveau Chic. I reached for the Kind and Caring Thoughts stamp set, a very get-wellish set, and some lovely So Saffron card stock. Darned if I know what happened next but the flower became a spider and Nouveau Chic turned to the dark side. Totally off the track...........
Holy Moly! I love it! I cannot believe my eyes! This is so very creative! I love this, girl! How very clever - and hillarious! I can't wait to try this one!

ReplyDeleteThis is ADORABLE! I love it ...
ReplyDeleteGreat job!! Very clever and creative. Sometimes the best ones are the ones that start out in a different direction. :)
ReplyDeleteThey need to rename that paper "Nouveau Spooky" in honor of this beauty!
ReplyDeleteLove how you turned that flower into a hanging spider!!!! You truly think out of the box!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnother winner!
I love when these derailments happen in the crafts room. That's my favorite part of the creative process--one is never quite sure where it will take you! Great job on this card. I'm glad you got derailed!
ReplyDeleteYou are too clever! Funny how sometimes we just can't fight it when it wants to be.
ReplyDeleteI can see you sittin' there staring at that upside down flower thinking... oh my golly its a spider... what else could ya do. I absolutely love it... you rock!!!
ReplyDeleteLinda, you are again brilliant! How you come up with these ideas is beyond me. This is too cool. I love it!
ReplyDeleteAre you sending this to Antonio?
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Erin
Such clever use of the flower (now turned spider). I love it when someone can "spin" a new use. Hugs, Mary
