Taken with Teal, Ruby Red and Basic Gray! Whew, when those Pals throw down a challenge they do it right. You don't want to know how many mini Musketeer bars were consumed making this card with those colors. Just couldn't seem to make those colors get along! And then there's the bow. I have watched Mary's video so many times I could recite it right along with her - yet I remain bow-challenged. A few more Musketeer bars and a pile of ribbon on the floor and that's all I could do. I am getting ready to offer an all expense paid trip to upstate NY to anyone who is willing to tutor me in bow art! So that's it - I am done in - and headed to the couch with another Musketeer bar or two. But never fear, I recover quickly - I'll be back in time for the Hop on
November 10th!
Linda, I wished I would have had those chocolate bars along with you. I had a hard time with these colors also. You did a great job. I never used gray!
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty. I love how you made the sentiment the focal point. I have been trying to figure out how to use this stamp and will have to try it this way!
ReplyDeleteI am often bow challenged too. One trick that helped me was being told which every I'm holding with my left hand keep holding it tight as you're pulling it to finish tying.
ReplyDeleteOh Linda, this is good. VERY good. I love it!
ReplyDeleteI love upstate NY, so send me my ticket girlie!

ReplyDeleteI LOVE this, Linda! I agree with you whole-heartedly that this was a difficult color combo to work with! All those Three Musketeers must have helped because this is fabulous! Great job with the challenge!
ReplyDeleteToo funny Linda, I am bow-challenges too! I've got the bow-easy...but ummmmm, well, let's just say I'm 'trying and trying'! LOL

ReplyDeleteLovely card. I can't wait to see what you have in store for the Blog Hop. I spent three hours working out a card with the Patterned Pines trees. Some days the mojo is in neutral for me! That's when I visit my fav blogs for inspiration. Thank you and Stamp On! lorijane
ReplyDeleteYour posts always make me smile! I've given up on the mini's though and go for the gusto :) Great card Linda - if we're not too far or ever in each others neck of the woods, lets do bows (we could throw lunch in too) :)
