Welcome to the Stampin' Pretty Pals June hop! We're bidding a "Fond Farewell" to the retiring colors of Stampin' Up!'s Color Renovation. If you've hopped over from Regina's blog, you are on the right path. Should you hop off course, simply click on any of the links in the Pals Hop Line-up below and you'll be back on track.
I took a basic decorating class once from a wonderful lady who taught us to never buy something because we thought it would "match." She said always buy what you love and everything will come together. When I spread out SU's retiring colors to prepare for this hop, I thought of Ruth's advice and decided to pick my favorite three colors: Barely Banana, Almost Amethyst and Cameo Coral. I put them together following the Stamping411 sketch and it worked! Sound advice 30 years later!

Crisp and clean. I love one layer cards.
ReplyDeleteI would say quick and easy even though there's nothing quick about my process (or lack of it!). I'd love to have lots of layers and embellishments but I can't seem to make them work like others do. Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteMy style is quick and easy. Though I do like the look of many, many layers.
ReplyDeleteLinda, your card is absolutely lovely. I love the layout and your colors. Fab! XO
ReplyDeleteMy style is mood and time. My mood always affects my cards and when I forget I need one time is a big factor in making them. lol As my kids like to tell me I have no style.
ReplyDeleteI would say my style is crisp and clean. I don't have too many layers and usually no more than 2 accessories. Love your designs.
ReplyDeleteNo need for blog candy here! But I love the card today - it's super cute and a great way to use the stamp set! I always go earthy, but I love your bright "edition"! Wow!

ReplyDeleteI am mostly a crisp and clean, but sometimes I like to throw in a distressed card.
ReplyDeleteI lean more and more toward Clean and Simple...not so comfortable with lots of embellishments!
ReplyDeleteI really like layers and quick. Don't think that was an option though. I am the type of person that has to been in the mood to create. I really think for me it would be the occassion for the card that dictates what I go for.
ReplyDeleteI LIKE QICK AND EASY BUT IT HAS TO HAVE LAYERS
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing that advice, I think it will come in handy. My style is just developing so I don't have a go to style yet but do prefer crisp and clean but also like the look of lots of layers.

ReplyDeleteI am queasy...quick and easy!
ReplyDeleteCrisp & Clean - haven't experimented with too much layering YET.
ReplyDeleteLots of layers and embellishments.
ReplyDeleteDepends on what mood I am in or how much time I have. I tend to stick to quick and clean myself but love looking at other peoples lots of layers and vintage.
ReplyDeleteSimple, clean and easy! I don't like layers and layers with lots of embellishments. It's funny because when I have my camps my ladies like to come bring cards they have paid lots of money to make at scrapbook stores to show me! And I always ask, "Now would you seriously ever make that on your own?" You know the answer! I like to make my cards in an assembly line. I usually make at least 12 of each one to give away!
ReplyDeleteI tend to be a crisp with a couple of layers kind of stamper. Thanks for sharing and for the chance to win some fun blog candy.
ReplyDeleteI think my style is crisp and clean, but I admire lots of layers and embellishments. My Mojo Monday card has a ton.
ReplyDeleteI like crisp and clean...but then that's because any time I try to pile it on, it looks...weird. LOL! I just can't do anything like some peoples masterpieces, so I just stick with what I know. I like layers, but not too many and I'm getting a new love for CAS...
ReplyDeleteI like embellishments and layers. I'm trying more CAS, but surprisingly, they are more difficult than they look! Great blog candy!
ReplyDeleteLove your card--I'm going to use this great color combination today, so thanks! My style varies, but I think mostly I'm a clean and crisp gal...though that can mean layers to me, so it's not always simple!
ReplyDeleteLots of layers and embellisments. I can buy simple ones.
ReplyDeleteLove your card!
ReplyDeleteI usually go for the CAS (clean and simple) style for my cards.
Thanks for the chance to win!
I think I tend to be clean and simple......not over crowding my card with to many embellishments.
ReplyDeleteMy style is clean and simple. I do like your card!
ReplyDeleteI love losts of layers and embellishments.
ReplyDeleteI love lots of layers, but don't like to get too bulky! I love all the layers and details on your card. Thanks for the chance to win some goodies.

ReplyDeleteI'm a vintage, grungy, distressed kind of gal. And I do like several different elements, textures and techniques combined in my creations. I love mason jars - darling card!

ReplyDeleteI am crisp and clean mostly but I love ribbon and small embellishments too!
ReplyDeleteI like "Quisp", but I am not a quick stamper. I LOVE clean designs of all kinds.
ReplyDeleteLOVE your card! Crisp and clean. Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteDepends on my mood, but usually crisp and clean!
ReplyDeleteA mix of crisp/clean and layered. Cameo Coral is the the one color I use the most. WOW, is what I thought when I saw your blog candy giveaway. This color will be sadly missed ):
ReplyDeletevwhs77@hotmail.com
Lovely card. I tend towards the Clean and Crisp look. Can't do shabby chic or vintage for the life of me LOL. Thanks for the chance to win :D
ReplyDeleteGreat card. These colors are lovely together. I am deifnitely a lots of layers, texture and embellishments kind of gal. I have a hard time with clean and simple cards, I just love "stuff".
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I have a specific style other than I mainly use flowers. I love flowers!! I do like layering also (with a flower on top!)
ReplyDeleteI have a real problem making one layer cards. They seem so flimsy and bare. I LIKE LAYERS! I also distress my cards a lot too. I'm not very good with the vintage look, but I truly appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for a chance to win some blog candy. I would say my style is elegant and pretty.
ReplyDeleteRobbie
My card style is crisp and clean! Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteJulie L.
Crisp and clean.
ReplyDeleteMy cards sometimes change with my mood. Basically it is Clean and Crisp but I can go all out if the mood strikes. I like tailored styles and symmetry.
ReplyDeleteLove your card! Can I say all of the above and sometimes altogether!! HA!! I like to layer, bu then I like it clean and crisp, but then I add embelishments!!! Thanks for asking!
ReplyDeleteSo quick and easy is what I would like to do, but once I get started I always seem to find that I choose layers and pop ups, heat tools and more.
ReplyDeleteI am all about the crisp and clean!! although I do layer and add some embelishments too, but it's still crisp and clean looking!
ReplyDeleteI was a layering stamper but now I love the new Crisp and Clean featured on some of the blogs. Your blog is beautiful.
ReplyDeletePretty card!
ReplyDeleteI would have to say my style is crisp and clean.
I like cutesy with lots of layers and embellishments.
ReplyDeleteMy style is crisp and clean but I don't mind using several layers! Debra

ReplyDeleteMy stampin sytle is all of the above, depending on my mood & alloted time!
ReplyDeleteSuch a very lovely card - I love the color combo. I would say my current favorite style of stamping is crisp and clean. (Of course, that might change tomorrow!)
ReplyDeleteQuick, easy, and classy! That's my style. I love to see the reactions on people's faces when they get a really cool homemade card!
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Barby
I'd love for my stamping style to be quick and easy but no matter how hard I try, my friends would be the first to agree my cards always have lots of details and seem to take the most time to make when we get together and "shoebox."
ReplyDeletebeautiful card Linda!
ReplyDeleteI love the clean & simple cards but I really like to mess them up sometimes with distressing! :)
Quick and easy, clean & crisp.
ReplyDeleteLove the color of the give away. I like some things matching that is quick, but yet pretty by the way I do the color combo!
ReplyDeleteIt really denpends on my mood on how much detail or what direction I want to go with a card. For the most part though I think I am a clean and crisp stamper.
ReplyDeleteMy current style is always use ribbon. I have a large stash of ribbon and want to make room for new ribbon colours when they come out. So quick and ribbony is my style!
ReplyDeleteI like clean and simple because they are usually quick and clean or as you said quisp.
ReplyDeleteJan D
My style is all of these. I like to experiment with all the styles. I see so many good ideas from everyone; I always want to try something new. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteDecorating advice: I love that!
ReplyDeleteQuisp: new word coined by Linda!
Fabulous card. Just wanted to say hi without entering for blog candy--I have too much stuff as it is and just got my preview box yesterday! Time to play.
I like quick and easy... but they never turn out that way. Usually I end up with some layers with a little embellishment. :)
ReplyDeleteI think my "style" -- to the extent I even have one is evolving. Right now I am LOVING the CAS "clean and simple" style. My upline LOVES layers so I sorta started there and sometimes I'm drawn to it still... Your blog candy is extremely generous!
ReplyDeleteMy style is dependent on time and if I am stamping for something specific. Although I do try to add layers.
ReplyDeleteJenn C
(love that word, 'quisp'!) My style varies from simple, punch art types of cards to more elaborately stamped, vintage-y styles.
ReplyDeleteI like nice and simple.....not into ones that are too cluttered!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your word - QUISP! Definitely me! I love embellishments but not too many. Crisp, clean, and pretty. :)
ReplyDeleteLove your sunshine card you made. I just found your blog and I love your style!!!

I too, like quick and crisp with a little touch of "bling". :)
ReplyDeleteLove your card....love the subtle colors
ReplyDeleteDepends on my mood, usually it's the quick & crisp but I do think that the layered cards are gorgeous too...
thanks for sharing
Crisp and Clean with a lot of layers and a little bit of embellishment.
ReplyDeleteI am crisp and colorful. Quick always helps... but who are we kidding? :-) I like accent strips of solid color with coordinating patterned paper. The brighter the better.
ReplyDeleteI tend to mix it up. I generally do cards that are simple.
ReplyDeleteI like your word - QUISP. I love black and white and one color, ususally something bright.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda! I would say my style is clean and crisp and 3-D. I just love making step cards or anything with a little pop-up in it. But I love clean, bright lines and colors too. Thanks for asking.
ReplyDeletequick and easy!!!! love to go to classes where everything is ready to be put together~!~~ thanks for chance to win
ReplyDeleteI love layers...but it just depends on what my creative (or not so creative) mind wants!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove textures and layers...but also don't like spending too much time on one card. If I had to choose one of your categories, I'd have to say I'm "Quisp with layers!"
ReplyDeleteI love how all of those colors came together so beautifully!
ReplyDeleteSince I'm new at this whole card making business, I'd say lots of layers and embellishments, because I feel like I make my cards too plain!
I guess my would be lots of layers.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work! Love your style. I would say I usually go for quick and easy, but I love to use lots of embellishments, layers and fun techniques if I have time.
ReplyDeleteI love the fancy schmancy cards but I'm more of a quick & simple and crisp & clean gal.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card. I guess I go for quick & easy and layers & bling equally.
ReplyDeleteLet's see...definitely not "Quick and easy" or "Vintage with distressing". It would have to be a combination of "Lots of layers & embellishments" and "Crisp and clean". Is that even possible??? Love your cute card! Gail M.
ReplyDeleteQuick, clean, and embellishment is my style. Thanks for a chance to the blog candy.
ReplyDeleteI love lots of layers and embellishments. It seems like we can always add one more thing... Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteCrisp and clean.
ReplyDeleteI'm new to card making, so I'm not sure I have a style yet! I definitely like to make crisp and clean cards.
ReplyDeleteWell, I love vintage so have to put that first; nothing overdone with stuff is more for me so Crisp and Clean comes in second. Often depends on the card and my mood for the day.
ReplyDeleteHi
ReplyDeleteSince I am brand new and a new demonstrator I would say everything takes me a bit of time but vintage is a soft style to me.
Lots of layers and embellishments. I also like an elegant look versus fun.
ReplyDeleteI like two styles: Crisp & Clean, but I also love to add layers and embellishments :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win!

ReplyDeleteCleasy (Clean and easy)
ReplyDeleteMy would be clean and crisp. I would also say classic. You dod a great job and I love your ideas!!!!
ReplyDeleteEclectic, but most of all love elegant and layered but not cluttered. I love some vintage, but whenever I do anything with sponging, not even distressed, my husband looks over my shoulder and says it looks "dirty"!
ReplyDeleteI love doing clean and simple. Love your card!
ReplyDeleteI love clean and simple which usually are quick and easy - some special cards need the extra embellishments.
ReplyDeleteI would have to say Crisp and Clean, but with embellishments, if that makes sense. And you are right---these colors are beautiful together!
ReplyDeleteI love a good card with lots of layers and embelishments. But, I am loving some of Mary Fish's crisp and clean ones! Always learning! Love your card. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteChris R. from Iowa
I'm a quick and easy,, with a little embellishment...
ReplyDeletegood advise, I must try it. My style would depend on who the card was for and the ocssion. I love to embellish
ReplyDeleteDeb Robinson
srobinson16@kc.rr.com
I love crisp & clean style. I like layers, too, though. But overall Ilike the design to be clean.
ReplyDeleteI love your card. The color scheme is beautiful. I guess my style would be simple and crisp. Some embellishments- but not overdone.
ReplyDeleteI think mt style depends on the day and my mood! I do quick &simple, with one layer and I do many layers with complex, punch art flowers. I do not do grunge or distress or shabby. I like bling and pretty paper. I like to use my cuttlebug. I guess I'm eclectic:)
ReplyDeleteThe style card changes with my mood and the recipient. I tend to go for layers though.
ReplyDeleteUsually my cards involve a few layers, ribbon, and buttons or brads. Generally quick and easy. Not big on the fancy embellishments(yet!)
ReplyDeleteloud and lots of stuff on it. I love buttons, brads,All of it
ReplyDeleteI am a crisp and clean kind of stamper. Love the vintage look but don't have the time to create those works of art.
ReplyDeleteI love the simple look and easy! Our daughter needed a graduation card and off I go to my craft room. A few minutes later I had one for her. She loved it!! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm going to morph two styles as well, and say my style is "cleasy". I like clean and easy cards, but sometimes the "easiest" cards may take me all night to make!
ReplyDeleteI'm a crisp and clean gal.
ReplyDeleteCrisp and Clean. I can't quite master Quick :) -- Ami
ReplyDeleteI guess I would consider what I like called clean and easy with a twist of crisp and embellish. Love to experiment!!. Thanks for the chance to win some yummy blog candy! Love what you did with your card and the colors. I have this stamp set, but have yet to use it, so thanks for the idea as well.
ReplyDeleteI would say quick, but I like to go vintage sometimes too. Great card :)

My style would be crisp and clean and quick--I have so many ideas floating around, and if I'm not quick, I will forget my ideas!
ReplyDeleteI love clean & crisp but usually end up with lots of layers and embelishments. I can't help myself
ReplyDeleteLove your card and the colors are great. I love the new word too. Quisp!! My kind of card.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. Love it. My style always ends up with to much junk on it. I want to be quisp but I am more glitter and sparkle. What would that be glitarkle haha.

I LOVE your color combo...My style is ECLECTIC...I also love to add layers and layers...need some ribbon and more...Thank you for the opportunity to win some YUMMY candy..
ReplyDeleteLove your cards. Crisp and Clean is right. Very Nice! Me I'm a vintage distressing kind of gal. Love the vintage look always have.
ReplyDeleteI love the classic, elegant style; so lots of pretty embellishments. Vintage is great, but I haven't mastered it yet.
ReplyDeleteLove your prize pack, my favorite yet!
My style seems to change like the weather. Mostly its clean and crisp but lately have been really into vintage with lots of sponging.
ReplyDeleteGuess I would have to say Crisp & Clean altho sometimes I add layers, etc., to cover up a mistake. Am going to try & stick with the color advice & use what I like.
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway!!
It really depends on what sort of card I'm making but vintage would have to be my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI'd have to say layers and embellishments but I also like Crisp and Clean.
ReplyDeleteI am a clean and crisp person also. For some reason, I am not a big sponger kind of a person. A bonus for me because my projects are finished quicker!
ReplyDeleteI believe my style would be clean and crisp but love embellishments and my mania table mates always say I am never done until it is fully covered so I guess a full card or page that is clean and crisp and completely full!!!
ReplyDeleteMarcia
Hi Linda!
ReplyDeleteLove your card and fun blog candy!
I think my style is a combination of clean & simple with a bit of pretty & embellishments!
Quick and clean but I love to embellish with brads.
ReplyDeleteSimple & clean.
ReplyDeleteI'm all for quick & simple, crisp & clean! :)
ReplyDeleteWould have to say simple with lots of bling! I love sparkle.
ReplyDeleteI like to layer. I have to matte, it's a compulsion! LOL. I also like to shimmer mist things, doesn't even have to be a card! HaHa. Thanks for the chance to win. Joy in GA.
ReplyDeleteI really like the vintage look along with making is simple and quick. My cards always love a little distressing!!
ReplyDeleteI like simple, with bright colors and some bling. Your cards are beautiful!

ReplyDeleteClean, modern and bright. Thanks for the fun giveaway!
ReplyDeleteCrisp, clean, bright, and always some bling. Thank you for the blog candy :-)
ReplyDeletePatty Mukosey
I'm still a beginner stamper/card-maker but I'm getting more adventuresome. I'd say I'm more crisp and clean, but with some layers for dimension. How's that for wishy-washy.....
ReplyDeleteLots of layers and crisp and clean! TFS
ReplyDeleteI think my style is mostly crisp and clean. I like layers and embellishments but I don't like to overdo it. Love the color combo on your card.
ReplyDeleteI like detailed and layered. Tho my intention is to be quick and simple or clean, it ends up becoming detailed and or layered and time consuming. I have trouble deciding on colors and papers and layout...: )
ReplyDeletePS, I forgot to say that I love how your card turned out, those colors came together very nicely! I will need to try your approach, I need all the help I can get : )
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful, Linda! As for me, I am dirty/distressing and whatever takes the longest amount of time! LOL
ReplyDeletehmmm . . .mine is more of clean and simple with vintage distressing - -It just depends who the card is for
ReplyDeletemelissa in mesa
Sometimes I try keeping cards simple and natural, but I also like the look of lots of layers. It really just depends on my mood.
ReplyDeleteMy style is crisp and clean with a little layering. I wish I could do more but maybe I'll work up to it.
ReplyDeleteBabe
Quick, Easy and a little layering. Love you site, thank you. Teri
ReplyDeleteCrisp and clean - I love simple cards
ReplyDeleteCrisp and Clean...but I like layers. Every now and then I try to think outside the box and do something distressed/vintage. Thanks for the chance to win...
ReplyDeleteLots of layers and embellishments. I love extreme cards and scrapbook pages, that just who I am.
ReplyDeleteThanks for participating in the hop. Loads of fun. Your card is beautiful. My style is lots of layers and embellishments. I am a detail gal.
ReplyDeleteCrisp and clean...the only way to go...2nd choice...would be distressed...quite a contrast.
ReplyDeleteQuick and easy. Love your card
ReplyDeletecindyb
I enjoy the challenge of layers and embellishments. Quick and easy is not my style. Your blog candy is yummy!
ReplyDeleteI have to say...after all the cards I have designed by myself with no casing.. has to be vintage with distressing, but when time permits, and esp if I am not teaching it to a lot of stampers...I love lots of layers and embellishments.
ReplyDeleteWow, these are colors I would have never put together. Awesome job with the sketch!
ReplyDeleteCrisp and clean with contrasting layers. Hardly ever get by with quick and easy cards even though I wish I could. Hope I win your blog candy ~ thanks for the great offer!
ReplyDeleteMy style tend to be CASLAYS, which means Clean and Simple but with Layers. I find it very hard to make a one or two layer card. I love your card that you made. I have the set, but have never used it yet. I always draw a blank when it comes to colors for this set. Perhaps I will have to take your Words of Wisdom to mind and make them work for me also. Thanks for the wonderful Blog Candy, colors right up my alley. Love that Orchid Opulence and the DSP.
ReplyDeleteCyber hugs, Trish in Wisconsin
Crisp and clean but with some layers. I enjoy trying the other styles but am never quite satisfied with the results. I also enjoy :) Thanks for sharing. MJ
ReplyDeleteMy style is quick and easy with a few embellishments. Cute summertime card. I liked how the cup looks 3D. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI like clean and crisp. No distressing. I do like layers and embellishments. Thank you for a chance to win great blog candy.
ReplyDeleteLayers and embellishments if I have time. If time is short then clean and crisp. Thanks
ReplyDeleteLove that advice! I would probably never have put those colors together, and this card is fabulous!! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Stamping 411 this week!
ReplyDeleteQuick and easy would best describe my style, although I love the other styles, I just usually opt for the quick style. linhpeterson@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteI am definitely a quick gal, however I have learned to finish my initial card and then go back and add 1 more element - either ink the edges or a small bit of ribbon/brad and I am usually much happier with the end results.
ReplyDeleteLoved your card - it is not a color combo I would have picked but it looks great together.
I love the new term, quisp!!! Your card is fabulous and I love it. I prefer the crisp/clean/quick/easy version... but no BC for me. I'm just havin' a ball answering the questions this morning. Hugs, Carla
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card! Love the colors together! I'll miss those colors!
ReplyDeleteEven though I most appreciate crisp and clean cards, I usually end up with several layers and embellishments. The card doesn't end up going overweight, but it requires extra postage usually because of ribbon embellishments.
I am kinda a split personality when it comes to stamping. My main "personality" is clean and crisp, but I also like layers and embellishments. I am not into the distressed look yet, but have been enjoying the smooch spritz lately.
ReplyDeleteI would have to say all the least would be clean and crisp but from there it is anyones guess. It depends on my mood!
ReplyDeleteQuick and easy is what I aim for! Thanks for

ReplyDeleteWould like to be quick & easy but like crisp and clean.
ReplyDeleteMostly crisp and clean but sometimes I just like to play and spend hours just layering and coloring. It is relaxing and fun for me. BTW, your card is lovely. Mind if I case??
ReplyDeleteMy style....well, I think it changes with my mood although I tend to stay more with layers and ribbons and buttons and and and.....Thank you for sharing
ReplyDeleteI guess I'd have to say "Vintage with distressing". I LOVE to sponge my edges! Of course, I also like doing all the other styles too. Just depends on my mood.
ReplyDeleteI like quick and crisp... but depending on what I am creating it may also be some of the others!!
ReplyDeleteI love to mix it up!!! However I love to layer!!
ReplyDelete
