I logged hours of "seat time" watching that fabulous royal wedding. It was glorious in every way! And I laughed when I heard that Prince Harry was serving bacon sandwiches at the survivor breakfast. My British born mother turns 86 this week. Her secret to longevity? A bacon sandwich for breakfast EVERY day - go figure.............
superbe !
ReplyDeleteLinda,
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the colors this week at the PPA and I LOVE this bright cheery card! Wow. I really like that everything is "kady whop" (is that word?) .... Not Straight? I love that look. the scrunchy ribbon is so perfect with that big ole' button tied... looks like the bow is tied from the pulled strings in the ribbon. BEAUTIFUL!
PS: ....... I LOVE Bacon too! Hugs.
And I thought you were going to tell the story of how we were chuckling over poor Prince Phillip having to sing God Save the Queen to his wife for 65 years! LOL What a happy card!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card, certainly fit for the Queen Mum! I love the torn paper!
ReplyDeleteGreat card, Linda!! Love the torn edges and the effect of the skewed panels. Lovely ribbon treatment and use of the colours too. Your mom will love it :) Keep the bacon sandwiches coming LOL!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done, Linda. I guess I'm going to have to try that scrunchy ribbon thing.

ReplyDeleteLove your use of the colors, too.
Hugs, M
This is a wonderful layout ... love your torn paper! Beautiful card and you showcased the challenge colors perfectly! I wanted to watch the wedding but good 'ole Mother Nature thought otherwise.
ReplyDeleteOMG, bacon every day? My son would LOVE that! Lovely card and my fav part is the tearing! Great job, Linda!
ReplyDeleteGreat card!! I love that torn piece, that is one of my fave things to do :)
ReplyDeleteLook at you with all your torn edges again...for a minute I thought I was in the Stampin' Schach! ;-) Love your use of these tricky colors and all the layers are fabulous! Mmmmmm, bacon!
ReplyDeleteOh wow Linda, what a wonderful job you did with the colors! how exactly is a bacon sandwich constructed? Bread, mayo, bacon....? My hubby would go for that one!
ReplyDeleteThis is just gorgeous, Linda Callahan! I love the scrunched ribbon, the torn paper, the DSP, your stamp choice, the buttons, the butterfly! I love it all! You have such a wonderful eye for design! It's just gorgeous! Sign me up for one of those bacon sandwiches!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Linda! I love the scrunched ribbon and the colors of this weeks PPA challenge are so bright and cheery.
ReplyDeleteLidna, your card is just fabulous!!! Awesome details and I'm not a fan of scrunchy ribbon, but your card is changing my mind!!! I so enjoyed the royal wedding too. Bacon sandwiches? I could do that everyday and lately I've come pretty close!!! Happy Birthay to your mum too!!! My signature is often CAra... lol I am forever backspacing on my own name!!!
ReplyDeleteI like what you've done here, Linda. It has the illusion of the flower layer "coming out" of the layers beneath it. It's super cool! I like very much what you've done with these colors, and thank you so much for having me as a PPA Guest! It was fun. :)
ReplyDeleteToo funny Linda!!! A Bacon Sandwich! LOL! My hubby would love to have one of those every day! Gorgeous, gorgeous card! Happy Mother's Day!! Hugs, J
ReplyDeleteI love the way that you put your colors together for this chalenge Linda. What a beautiful card!
