If I could send flowers to all of the power company crews I would! They have done an amazing job turning the lights back on in our area! I live in upstate NY - in the foothills of the Adirondacks. Hurricanes? Never! Until Irene........the devastation upstate and in neighboring Vermont is just incredible. We were very fortunate locally and just had power outages and some trees down. Unfortunately a tree did fall on our garage up at the lake. The damage wasn't too bad - the power wires actually kept the tree from going through the garage. My husband is always glad for a reason to power up that chain saw!
I used
PPA's challenge colors this week along with stamps from Button Buddies and Friendly Phrases.
Hands down my favorite card this week! I love everything about it.
ReplyDeleteAbout the tree...WOW. Glad no one was hurt.
Beautiful, Linda! I love the flowers with their pearl centers!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, Linda, and I also love your new blog look! Glad you and your property didn't suffer too much from Irene. We, also, were lucky. Some folks here in NJ STILL have no power, tho!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this, Linda! The cascade of flowers takes the vase to a whole new level. Glad to hear that you are okay; sorry about that darn tree though.
ReplyDeleteGreat job with the color challenge... love the flowing flowers.
ReplyDeleteBummer about the tree - but glad you are safe.
Hugs, M

ReplyDeleteWow...again! Looks like it's raining gorgeous flowers. Sorry about your tree! We did not get a drop of rain from Irene only a little breeze.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear you guys are okay. Love the way you did the Linen Thread with the partial sentiment, cute card!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing the photo of the tree on your garage. The last time we had a tree come down Wayne was out with his chain saw. Thank goodness for husbands who do not mind doing hard work. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the way that you arranged all of the flowers on your card. Love the way that you used the twine. Your card is awesome.

OMG, LInda! This card is amazing! Stunning use of the flower punch and the colors--beautiful use of white space and these colors. Just stellar my friend! Thank goodness you are alright in the wake of Irene--better the garage than the house! ((hugs))
ReplyDeleteGreat card -- simple but fun! The white really made the color challenge colors pop! Keep the chain saw under control! My brother got stranded in Vermont with roads washing out. Keep safe.
ReplyDeleteGlad it was only a tree and garage and you are ok. Your card is lovely!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card! Glad that you are o.k. Hugs, J
ReplyDeleteLinda this card is gorgeous, one can never have too many flowers, can one? Glad to hear your damage was minimal and you and your family are safe, some things can't be replaced!
