Christmas Bells.....FMS12
The very talented Jen Mitchell designed the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches. So in honor of Jen and her new policy of using up designer paper (that seems to abound in so many of our craft rooms) I dug out last year's Deck the Halls. My die cut circle fit perfectly after a bit of fussy cutting around the poinsettias and the holly leaves. The bells are embossed in gold - and ready to ring in the holiday season!
Linda, this is gorgeous!! Such a stunning combination with the gold embossed bells! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteLinda this is BEAUTIFUL. love DSP and the fussy cutting and the colors. I think I better start using up my 'left overs' too... after all.... it IS a 'left over' kind of weekend! Hugs.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving and THANK YOU for all the inspiration you've given to me here in cyber space.
Hugs.
Wowza, wowza, Linda! This is fabulous, I love the fussy cutting and the gorgeous gold bells. Such a great Christmas card!
ReplyDeleteThis is still some of my all time favorite Christmas paper. Fitting tribute to Jen to use it! :-) What a gorgeous card! Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteLinda, this is one set of paper that I have been hoarding because I wasn't quite sure how to use it. But I'm sure now because this is absolutely gorgeous and completely CASE-worthy. Thanks for showing me what to do!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, Linda! I just went through all my M&Ts from convention (that I didn't do) and lo & behold were some of those nice little diecuts! I think I might have to use them like you did! And I love the way you cut out the DP....that stuff is beautiful! Happy Thanksgiving, my friend!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous holiday card! Love how you cut out the DSP.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! You have used my most favorite DSP of all time! GORGEOUS card, Linda! And such a fabulous sketch that Jen created!

ReplyDeleteA gorgeous Christmas card Linda, I love these rich, deep colours and I love how you have layered all these different elements together to create this classic beauty .... great work, love it!!!
ReplyDeleteOh so pretty! The addition of the music notes was the perfect touch with the bells.
ReplyDeleteJen's challenge to use up DSP is a good one...although a challenge of epic proportions for DSP "collectors" like myself. Lol!! THIS is gorgeous, Linda! I never bought that set and now am starting to rethink it. How do you do the fussy cutting so perfectly? Wow!! Have a great day! :)
ReplyDeleteA great take on the sketch resulting in a beautiful Christmas card n fab colours Luv Sue x

ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Linda! Reminds me of Christmas cards from years gone by. I like the fussy-cut poinsettias peeking out from behind the die cut circles.
