I am a live in the moment kind of gal. I rarely take a camera with me - I prefer to go through life not peering through a lens. I was not the mother snapping pictures of my kids at Disney World or rushing the stage to get a good shot of my tap dancer. I never took videos at Little League games. I just enjoyed the events! But perhaps if I had handled a camera more throughout the years I would be better at taking pictures of my cards. What happened to the score lines on my card? They just disappeared right into the picture. And what happened to the warm Crumb Cake color? Just faded away.........sigh.......this card made me smile - until I snapped the picture! I think I will just leave you now and look at the real thing clipped up on my card display rack~!
Simply sweet card!
ReplyDeleteI like your card, it´s simple but very sweet
ReplyDeleteWell I think your card is GREAT. But I have to say I understand the taking picture thing....I am in the same boat, it is frustrating at times!!!
ReplyDeleteAs soon as I saw this on the team blog I knew I would want to CASE it. So frustrating with the pictures sometimes but it is just awesome regardless! Love the little Narrow Tafetta with the scoring!
ReplyDeleteI think it looks fine---Crumb Cake, score lines, lovely blingy elements! PERFECT!!! Fun, fun, fun!
ReplyDeleteWow look at you with the fancy red sparkles in your shadow box, light box, whatever that thing is called!
ReplyDeleteI agree with LeAnne, I can see all the wonderful elements at play here too but I know what you mean about the camera...I struggle with my card photos all the time! Your card is simple and stunning LC.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
lc
Clean and cute! I LOVE it, Linda!
ReplyDeleteI love it, Linda, and think it looks wonderful! I love cameras, but still can't take good pictures! :)
ReplyDeleteAren't camera lenses funny? I use two Ott Lites to help illuminate my cards for photographing, and the pictures STILL come out dark!! I have to lighten them in a photo editing program (I use GIMP; it's a free download from internet, and works similarly to Adobe Photoshop)
ReplyDeleteLove your card, though!
I love the card....in fact what stamp sets did you use????
ReplyDeleteLinda I an sooo right there with you on cameras...can't be bothered most of the time, (except my grandkids) but you knew that right?
ReplyDeleteI love your triple shape card too and I CAN see your score lines if I enlarge the photo though. Hugs
Love this card, Linda! I'm with you on the photo - I loved my card for this week until I saw the photo online - there must be something about the Crumb Cake background that is muting everything about the card. However, I love the details you added with the brads - they look like little ornaments, clever!
ReplyDeleteSweet and simple card!! Don't be hatin' on your photography!! I can top you in the bad picture category! lol
ReplyDeleteI love this card - the color combo and sweet little stamps. This is just fabulous!
ReplyDeleteGreat card Linda! You need to write a book :) I love your 'blurbs'!
ReplyDeleteYou aced this sketch! Love the card :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this card!
ReplyDeleteSimply wondeful :)
ReplyDeleteIf you discover the secret to taking fabulous pictures I hope you tell me, because I'm just as clueless! But despite your troubles I CAN see your score lines and I'd recognize Crumb Cake anywhere! But what I really love about this are those gorgeous red glimmer postage stamps showing off those glimmer brads and silver cord!
ReplyDeleteOh Linda, you are too hard on yourself. The photo is fine. I can see all the pretty elements and detail. Love the idea of the trio!
ReplyDeleteJust wondering what the xmas bulbs are made of. Is it punched glimmer paper? Great simple card design. That is not easy to do!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card! I stop by your blog quite often and really like your work. You're one talented lady! This one is going straight into my 'to case' file! Thank you for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI loved this card as soon as I saw it Linda ... the glimmer paper is spectacular as are your super cute button embellishments and simple sweet sentiment ... the scoring is a fabulous feature - which I can see it quite clearly btw ... great work, I love it!!!
ReplyDeleteI know where you're coming from Linda...if it wasn't for Photoshop Elements I would be lost!!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore your CAS card, the little baubles in the squares are just too cute:)

Linda, I came to comment on your super-cute clean and fresh card that I LOVE!!!! What a fabulous take on the sketch and I just love the sparkly red squares.
ReplyDeleteI could see the score lines just fine on your photo - but for what it's worth, I always have trouble getting good color hues in my photos of Crumb Cake. You do a good job!
Oh my gosh, Linda. What a beautiful idea! Love the way this looks! Especially love the glitter brads and Baker's twine. TFS.
