Be Mine! PPA128
This image from Take it to Heart is so sweet! The fact that our heart punch cuts just a smidge bigger than the heart framelit is pretty sweet as well! That's how I got that skinny edge of red around the center image. And I confess back in the day I hitched a ride like this on the back of a bicycle.........or even rode on the handlebars or crossbar. In the fourth grade that was a sign of true love!
Join us at Pals Paper Arts this week and use any shade of red you like!
So sweet! I didn't know the heart punch was a smidge bigger! Wonderful card Linda.
ReplyDeleteadore the crisp shapes and crumb cake in the background. The button element is the bomb! hugs, m

ReplyDeleteLove this card, Linda! And I always forget to do something with the card corners. I really like the rounded look. And the silver glitter paper is my favorite!

ReplyDeleteI LOVE this, Linda C.! Great layout and such a clever way to feature your stamp image! I will forever think of you now hitching rides on the back of a bicycle when I look at this stamp now! Love it stamped in black on white! Excellent job my friend!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Linda, great layout and I love your creative way of using the ribbon and button, great color scheme too!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I was always too chicken to ride on the handlebars, but do remember riding on the back of another bike!
I just love what you did with this! Punching out the central image is so fun! Unfortunately, out on the farm, we had nowhere to ride our bikes like this---and no one to ride with, either! So I will just have to reminisce vicariously through this cute little image!
ReplyDeleteFabulous card love your stamping and those great hearts. The image reminds me of my youth too just lovely.

Nice tip on the Full Heart Punch...hadn't thought to try that yet! Love just the tiny smidgen of outline, so perfect. I think we were all dare devils when it came to bikes back then. I remember catching a pant leg or two in the chains be riding in the back!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful CAS! I love that layout!!
ReplyDeleteI like this layout, Linda! And that silhouetted image is pretty nice. I'm not falling for so many of the 'cameos' and such that I see are so popular now, but this one strikes a chord with me. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! Thanks for the tip about the heart punch - good to know.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog.
