Cheers to 2013! And cheers to a fresh new look for Pals Paper Arts! That pop of Melon Mambo is just what we need to jump start a new year of challenges. I met with a friend this week who is a metalsmith and creates exquisite, unique pieces of jewelry. She recently finished a teaching fellowship at Penland School of Crafts. I love talking to her about the creative process. She said that when a student finished a piece she would tell him - "Great, now go make 10 more!" Creating is an active ongoing process - you are never really done! Let's resolve this year not to be so hard on ourselves worrying about perfection and just enjoy creating! It's all about the journey.......
And my metalsmith friend? Oh she is off to Iceland next to study embroidery - and then to an island to study lace. I can't wait to see what that inspires her to create!
