You Gotta Have Friends! FMS72

Taking a cue from the designer paper I decided to make the leaves of my flower out of Soft Suede.  And taking a cue from my husband - who looked at my craft table and just shook his head - I decided it was time to clean up all of the bits and pieces.  A scrap of lace, a Pool Party button, a row of scallops, random rhinestones and a leftover doily from my Boutique Boxes kit all made their way onto my card.  And there they all are - just hanging out like old friends!

Cindy's wonderful sketch at Freshly Made Sketches is full of possibilities!

  1. Linda, your card is stunning! I love the way you went with the soft suede leaves...perfection in it's glory, LOL! Really, this is one beautiful card, my friend!
    Have a wonderful day...don't let DH's head-shaking affect you.
    Hugs!

  2. Oh Linda, your card is beautiful!! Great idea of punching the leaves in the same color as the ones in the DSP. Yes, I know about our husbands.....mine also shakes his head when he takes a peek at me in my craft room, specially when I'm playing with brand new stuff. He knows this room is MY little world, where I can escape for a while from my BIG world and just let my imagination fly.

  5. I wish the scraps on my craft table got along so well. I always start with good intentions and put scraps to the side thinking they'll come in handy some day, but they never do! But you've made these all come together so beautifully!

  8. Wow! Love this one so much! The papers are gorgeous, my favorite colors, and the sentiment is perfect, nestled in the die cut! Ribbon with vines and button add the perfect finishing touch! Another beauty!
