I walk with friends (who stamp!) every morning - no matter what the weather! And that can be challenging at times here in upstate New York. But we march on through the snow and ice in the winter and the heat and humidity in the summer. As we head into the rains of spring I would like to go on record and say walking in the rain is definitely overrated! Your sneakers squish, you're splashed by cars, your pants get soaked, your glasses fog and your arm falls asleep from holding your umbrella overhead for an hour. And the worst thing about walking in the rain? You can't pull out the cards you made the night before for show and tell.............

ReplyDeleteI am a wimp! I walk, too, but live on a steep hill.. When it rains it gets slick, so I play indoors instead. hehe

ReplyDeleteNow, for some walking in the rain advice. Trade in the umbrella for a Gore Tex (or Gore Tex equivalent) jacket. It's impervious to rain and will leave your arm free and awake!

ReplyDeleteGood for you walking every day too! I walk around the block at lunch... in the good weather... in the summer... when I can... if someone goes with me...MAN! What an excuse, eh? AND it shows. I really NEED to start walking again especially since I've put on 20 pounds since I quit smoking! hugs .
What a fun card Linda! I love the pretty bright colors! I agree with Jen about the Gore-Tex. I walk my dog everyday rain or shine and I need my hands free. At least here in Northern California I only need rain gear no winter gear.
