Hitting the Wall.......FMS192

The good news is that my kitchen is almost done - just painting and crown molding to do.  And my mother's apartment is almost completely packed, sorted and ready for the movers.  Notice I'm saying almost......there was no work to be done today because I hit the wall yesterday and needed a break! That must have been on my mind when I made this card because I used the new brick wall embossing folder - such a cool effect! A beautiful flower from Bountiful Blooms and words from Tin of Cards look terrific on my wall! If you're going to hit the wall it might as well be a pretty one!

Oh that talented Jen Mitchell has a great sketch for us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Hope you join us!

  3. Such a clever idea Linda I love the way your sentiment fits perfectly in the bricks of the wall and the edge of dsp is just enough. Glad you are taking a break - can't keep going like we use to and having the ensue to take a break is smart. Good luck packing up Mom.

PS: I feel sorry for you with so much going on I've been there ..done that and hitting the wall comes much faster now as my age increases..... Shhhh did I say that! hugs

  10. The end is near.....for the kitchen project, that is. So glad to hear that things are winding down.

I love how the bricks on your wall are somewhat oversized - so they could double for cinder blocks! And that puts me in mind of those cool loft apartments with all the exposed brick and building blocks and architectural details. And your card is the uber cool artwork on the walls of that apartment! Nice!

  19. What a wonderful use of the brick!! I had managed to keep it off my wishlist (since I have two other brick folders), but I love that the size is just perfect for what you have done with the sentiment.
