Hello Baby....FMS224
The thing about babies is that they don't stay babies for long. Our "baby" is now very interested in where everyone lives. She loves learning the names of towns and does pretty well remembering who lives where with one minor exception - our camp - which is on the Sacandaga Lake (pronounced Sack-en-dog-a). As we drove to camp this weekend her mother asked Emma if she remembered where the camp was. And Emma replied, "On Shutthedogup Lake!" She does have a point.....there are five of them when we all get together.....
Emma and Uncle racing to the beach......the dogs are already down there.....barking....
I love the wide open sketch my talented friend Jen Timko created this week at Freshly Made Sketches! Soft subtles brushed across white cardstock created the shading on my sentiment which was die cut more than once to give it substance. A snippet of designer paper from a retired set tied everything together!
This card also works for the Stamp Ink Paper Baby Challenge.
Oh, that Emma...she's a cute hoot! Card is cute too, you should enter it in the Stamp Ink Paper challenge this week!
ReplyDeleteLove it! Both your card and Emma's term for your lake. Sweet baby card and a sweet little missy too! :)
ReplyDeleteAll your cards are always so fresh and clean looking, Linda! How did you hold the layers of card stock together for the sentiment? Did you glue and then cut, or vice versa?
ReplyDeleteLinda this is so pretty! The ombre shading on the sentiment is just gorgeous. So glad you joined us this week at Stamp Ink Paper!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Linda! Love the touch of dsp and the dimension on your hello die cut! Thank you so much for joining us this week at Stamp Ink Paper :)
ReplyDeleteHi Mike......thanks for those kind words.....I cut three hellos out and then just glued them together to add dimension to the sentiment.
ReplyDeleteOh Linda, your card is just so beautiful! I just love the DSP choice on the left side and the large diecut Hello is perfect with baby sentiment. The sequins are such a great addition too. Thanks so much for joining us at Stamp, Ink, Paper this week!
