It was lots of fun catching up on family news at my mother's birthday luncheon. Keaton is studying robotics - Bob and Cindy just returned from a New England brewery tour - Peter is in training to climb a lower section of Mt. Everest - Bernie is headed to South Africa to work on a game preserve - Emma has started soccer - Erin is planning her family camping trip - Mike and Ria are off to Bermuda....wow! But I brought the table to a halt when I said "Well I just got back from a shoebox swap in Ilion!" To mere mortals outside of the stamping world that is a very strange sentence indeed.........
Anyway this card is off to our swap's hostess who graciously shared her beautiful stamping space with us and organized everything perfectly! It was a fun day.......and I didn't need a Sherpa guide, bathing suit or bug spray......
Great sketch at Pals Paper Arts this week!
Stamp Sets: Awesomely Artistic, Helping Me Grow, Hardwood
Paper: Something Borrowed DSP, Mint Macaron, Sahara Sand
You are just too funny with your shoe box comment. I love this card. So simple but says a lot.
ReplyDeleteYour card is lovely. I like the diagonal dotted background you used. Is this designer series paper or a stamp set?

ReplyDeleteThis is so very pretty!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautifully balanced card, in my opinion. The femininity of Awesomely Artistic works so well against the wood grain and background pattern. It helps to keep everything from looking too "frou-frou". Love It!
ReplyDeleteHow dare they not understand your shoebox swap?? Ha! Love your card, perfect colors and great design! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a nice and diff. layout. Colors are great.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely the sweetest bouquet of flowers and the perfect sentiment. I'll bet you are as excited as I am to see more colors in the enamel dots soon?
ReplyDeletebeautiful, FRIEND!!
ReplyDeleteLove your card Linda! The woodgrain strip down the middle is the perfect accent for the lush foliage! You need a secretary to keep track of your family from the sounds of it!
ReplyDeletehaha! I am mosted interested in your announcement!! If I could just get some mojo back it would all be good! I love this card, Linda. The colors look beautiful together and enamel dots are some of my favorite things! :)
ReplyDeleteHa ha I suppose when you think about it a "shoebox swap" is the weirdest sounding thing! Love those colors on your card - great combo!
ReplyDeleteWell, for what it's worth I think a shoebox swap is way more exciting than climbing Mt. Everest. It's cold up there! And you've got a great take on that sketch here. It's got a lovely vintage look to it, I think.
ReplyDeleteLove this card Linda - lovely pastel colours the banner across the front looks great.
