This will be the perfect card to send to any one of my friends here about mid-January when the temperatures are below freezing! Warm thoughts are nice but in reality a cozy quilt and a fire in the fireplace help me through those winter days. But then again a nice warm breakfast in bed's not bad either!
Oh that amazing Jen Mitchell designed a great sketch for us this week at Freshly Made Sketches! I watercolored a background before stamping images fromTotally Trees and a sentiment from Sentiment Sampler by Paper Smooches.
Hi Linda, what a fun card. I would like to know where to find this sentiment and are the waves and birds from a stamp set? Thank you
ReplyDeleteAwesome card! Love the palm trees and tropical feel, perfect take on that sketch! And a little juice box, food and TV in bed looks awesome to me! :)
ReplyDeleteLove how you used these trees!! I debated this set and now I'm seeing that I should have gotten it. And that breakfast in bed?? I need to move to THAT B & B!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, my gosh, what a perfect idea to send a card like this in the dead of winter! That sure is a cute little darling having breakfast in bead, too!
ReplyDeleteI love this beautiful scene, especially with that beautiful blue background. Very cute card, Linda! And if I had to live through your winters, I'd definitely be like Emma and never want to get out from under my warm covers. I don't think anyone would bring me food in bed though.
ReplyDeleteHow did she rate breakfast in bed? So cute!! Love your card and who wouldn't want to get this card in the dead of winter? It would warm them right up!
ReplyDeleteA reply to Maggie......The birds are from an SU set called Let's Get Away. the sentiment is from a Paper Smooches set called Sentiment Sampler. Included in that set is also the word "hugs". I cut the s off of that word and turned it on its side to make the waves......
ReplyDeleteThank you for the information on stamp sets. You are so clever!
ReplyDeleteFun and cheerful and looks very inviting!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, you have created a lovely little scene.
ReplyDeleteWell look at you with the watercolors! Nice job. I can almost feel that tropical breeze on my face! Your beach scene is just the thing to make me happy on a cold winter night!
