When I pay my mother's rent every month I always put the check inside one of my cards with a note. You can't say thank you enough to the staff at the assisted living facility where my mother lives. I dropped off November's rent on Halloween and the staff was dressed as characters from Snow White.....with the administrator being the evil queen! Staff members there are such good sports and weren't scared at all when a good little witch came to visit.....
My talented friend Cindy Hall has a great sketch for us this week at Freshly Made Sketches! I paired that wonderful bold thanks from Give Thanks by Concord & 9th with Serene Scenery DSP to create my card today.
What a pretty card! Love the colors and the clean design. Cute "scary" witch too! :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a great card, Linda! You already know I love that layering - and you've added just the right pops of color. I just about fell out of my chair with fear when I saw the scary witch. :)
ReplyDeleteLinda love your card with lots of white space layering and I especially like the die impressions around the layered pieces. Love it.
ReplyDeleteYour little "Good Witch" looks like she has a spunky partner to go Trick or Treating too!
Hugs
God love you for that sweet monthly gift ... these folks are never thanked enough! Linda, your card is beautiful!! and so is that good little witch!

Linda: I always get inspired by your cards as they have such a unique "twist" and use of materials. And I love the pics & sweet stories of your little Emma and your Mom. What a pair!
ReplyDeleteGood idea you've given me with that "thank you" card each month. This is an awesome card and I love how the die cut lines along the edges really set off the feather stamp! I know they appreciate your cards…they should have a gallery of them for everyone to enjoy! :)
ReplyDeleteI love what you've done with the sketch, Linda! The font on that sentiment is so pretty and the dies you've used work perfectly. Great photo of your mum and Emma!
ReplyDeleteI love that sentiment! And I love these colors together. This looks so clean and fresh. I hope your little witch had fun trick-or-treating. I'll bet she was a big hit at the assisted living facility!
ReplyDeleteThis card is proof positive that stress brings out creativity. I love these colors!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great card Linda! I love that sentiment and the leaf. Love the stitched rectangles too! So pretty and I'm sure so appreciated by the staff at the facility where your mom lives! You are so kind! Love that little witch! They don't get any cuter!
ReplyDeleteLove this card! SO simple and elegant!
ReplyDeleteFirst things first: That is the most adorable little good witch I've ever seen! Unfortunately, your card does take a backseat to Emma, however, I really love it! The layers, colors and DSPs are perfect choices, and I love the sentiment font.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous take on the sketch! So clean and crisp ! Love it very, very, verry much!
