Every Card Has A Story......Fusion

The plan was simple: make a card - have lunch - go to work at the library.  Just as I started stamping lemons and limes the dishwasher repairman came.  I headed downstairs to discuss the problem then left him with the big guy to work it all out. Back upstairs I rechecked the sketch on our Design Team blog because I had forgotten where to put the sentiment.  There I spotted Karren's gorgeous lemon and lime card so I scrapped my card and started over using flowers. Soon there was a request from the kitchen.....can you bring down a tape measure??  Sure thing.....then back upstairs to stamping. And then I heard....do you know where the dishwasher manual is??  Yes I do and it seems no one could possibly find it but me......then back upstairs to stamp. And what was all that noise in the cellar?  My curiosity got the best of me so down two flights of stairs I go to find the repairman and the big guy looking for clamps, boards and wire.....not good. Then it was back up to the kitchen for another conference on my one year old dishwasher.  An incorrect installation had caused problems.  Four separate issues would be fixed - while I finished my card.  But it just wasn't meant to be. All too soon I got called back down to learn about filters and shut-offs.  And then the dreaded "Let's just watch a cycle and see if everything is fixed."  Mojo had definitely left the building......

But there's good news:

........my dishwasher is now working great
.......my son showed up with a pizza for lunch
.......freezing rain and icy roads closed the library so I took a nap

And the bad news:

.......I still put the sentiment in the wrong place!

There's great inspiration at Fusion this week!  I used the Jar of Love stamp taking my inspiration from both the sketch and the picture.  Hope you join us!

  2. Oh our Momma's tell us there will days like this! You've given me a giggle, and OH can I relate about the 'nobody knows' comment! Linda, I think your sentiment is in exactly the perfect spot, on a most darling little card! Now get back in there and retrieve the lemons... I know you've got what it takes to make lemonade!!!

  8. I think the best part about this story is that YOU GOT TO TAKE A NAP!!! Ahhhh....that sounds wonderful right about now! Anyway, your card is cheery, regardless of where that sentiment ended up! I think I need to make a yellow & green one too!

  9. Your card was worth all the interruptions - so fun and such a great take on the challenge! But inquiring minds want to know - was waiting for a cycle to run through more or less exciting than watching paint dry :)

  10. Well who can blame you for a little sentiment malfunction with all those interruptions! It's a great card just as it is. Bright and sunny, just as it was meant to be!

  13. I don't know whether your story make me smile or sigh, but what I know for sure is that, in spite of all these disruptions, you created a fabulous card and no matter the sentiment is at the right place or not .
