Moon Bites......FMS302

The August monthly kit from Hero Arts is full of amazing celestial images and a few out of this world papers - perfect timing to use during week that included a solar eclipse!  Here in New York it was only a partial eclipse but exciting just the same.  I sat on my porch and enjoyed watching the little moon bites dance across the walkway.

Now and then I stuck my arm out from under the roof, turned my phone to the sky and snapped pictures.

You can just see the moon on the upper edge of the sun.  Amazing!

Our delightful designer from France, Cecile Ribon, drew up a terrific sketch for us this week at Freshly Made Sketches! Play along!

Stamps:  Hero Arts August Kit
Ink:  Black, VersaMark for silver embossing
Paper:  Hero Arts, Whisper White, Silver Foil, Basic Black

  1. What a cute card! Perfect for this month with everyone being all eclipse crazy. :) We didn't have the full eclipse in Atlanta either...but there were tons of people who drove north 2 hours to catch a glimpse of the full version. Heard many reports of 5-6 hours spent sitting in bumper-to-bumper traffic to get back home. I was quite glad that I stayed home, my commute was only from my kitchen out to my deck to see it...and there was no traffic except the dog in my way. ;)

I drove to Tom's office for the eclipse - we took turns looking through his casting goggles - very cool - hope it was safe - yikes!

  7. I'm so jealous you got that great picture of the eclipse. It was a tad cloudy here and it was interfering with my pic of me and the eclipse! I'm totally getting the glasses for the next one! And can I just say that your card is beyong fabulous. The background paper combined with those images is amazing!

  8. Oh, so gorgeous! This kit is fabulous - mine just arrived on Friday. I can't believe you used that piece of patterned paper - horror! Mine will probably be still sitting unused in ten years time because it's too beautiful to use.
