The Big Guy is a very observant person.....me not so much. I go through life in my own little bubble and take Emma with me! This week Emma and I went to the Post Office and I let her pick out my stamps. She chose a page of Disney Villains with large, colorful images. We had a grand time talking about the villains and their movies. I may have even sung a verse or two of the Cruella DeVil song while we happily slapped stamps on my cards to mail. As I dropped the cards into the mail slot it dawned on me that I mailed two sympathy cards and three get well cards adorned with a crafty evil queen, a mean old stepmother, a shady conniving fox, a scary sea witch and a crazy croquet playing queen! So not appropriate........
I used the sketch from Cas(e) this Sketch and the cue word Safari from CASology to design my card today. And I guess it would be ok to use Scar from the Lion King on the envelope!
Stamp Sets: Hero Arts Safari Set
Ink: Distress, Black
Paper: Go Wild DSP, Tip Top Taupe

I'm so jealous that you have an elephant stamp. And you've given him (her) the perfect Wild Kingdom background. LOVE this card! As for your little stamp situation - I have no words. I imagine the Big Guy is shaking his head too.
ReplyDeleteI think a cheeky Disney villain would be just the thing to put a smile on anyone's face!!
ReplyDeleteLove the silhouette on the rising sun. VERY well done.
Love from sunny South Africa

ReplyDeleteNow about those stamps... when a card with YOUR return address arrives, who in their right mind would look at the stamp?
no worries, my friend!

Linda Love your silhouette card of the elephant trumpeting in the sunset... maybe calling the little ones home. ???
ReplyDeletebut your stamp story is too funny... I mailed out a few cards last week. I usually buy the "forever" stamps which have limited designs. I was finishing up one roll and opening the next.. when I too realized that the envelope I addressed to send to a man had a flowery heart...and the card to the lady had vegetables! Hugs.
Beautiful card, Linda! Thanks so much for sharing with us at CASology this week!
ReplyDeleteFabulous inking! I love your take on the sketch!
ReplyDeleteThis is spectacular!! I LOVE that elephant against the sun that you created and the matting with those patterned papers is perfection!!
