Oh Those Critters....FMS355

These little critters are adorable all dressed up for Halloween. And that frog print DSP makes me smile! Hard to tell in the picture but that black paper is glossy and is a great accent!

Speaking of critters I thought you might like a squirrel update.  He has danced merrily around our Have a Heart trap for over two weeks.  Almost every day at breakfast he has launched himself from the hydrangea bush to our now ragged kitchen screen. He would peer through the closed window until I yelled shoo and banged on the glass.  Then back into the hydrangea bush he would go.......until a few days ago.  The Big Guy found him unresponsive on our lawn while our neighbor's three cats watched innocently from the driveway......not accusing them......just making an observation......

Of course squirrels tend to all look alike so it may not be him......but I have had no morning visits since then.  He drove us crazy......so why do I miss that cheeky little fellow?

I love Kim's sketch this week......so many possibilities~! Join us at Freshly Made Sketches!

  1. What a sweet card! Love the little critter all dressed for Halloween! Perfect DSP too. :) I'm a little sad that you won't have any more squirrel antics to report! He was a feisty one for sure. ;)

  5. What a cute scene! I love these Halloween critters. It sounds like your squirrel got a little too cheeky with the wrong crowd. I'll miss his antics.

  6. I just moved off of acreage where the deer were the culprits. I've come to hate deer. They strip everything plus there are other "situations" which can't be unseen. So I was thrilled in my new house watching the birds and the squirrels play but no deer. Then I'm overhearing a conversation at work about those horrible pests and how to get rid of them. I join in with "I hate deer". Nope - they were talking about squirrels. I guess I have a lot to learn!

I do love you card! They are charming images and I love them on the froggy background.

  7. Such a cute card! Love how you grounded them with the hill.

Sorry about your squirrel friend... not that he's gone but that he was "taken out" permanently!

  9. Linda I just love this card. I especially like how you used the Frog DSP as a background, but no too over powering since it lies behind your focal piece. The little Halloween critters are adorable, though I don't have the set, still so cute.
Sorry to hear of the passing your little squirrel friend. Although I would not want him to enter my house, I loved hearing your funny stories and it is sad to hear he finally passed through the big screen door in the sky. Hugs

  10. I'm a little sad that the squirrel is no more. They are nasty little critters but at the same time I can appreciate their {somewhat} cute little faces! At least your kitchen door screen won't be abused anymore!!! And your Halloween card is super cute! The look on the dog's face is priceless!

  11. This is such a great card Linda! I love your little critters! They are so colourful and I really love that background paper!!! I'm sad to hear about our squirrel. Usually cats don't go near big squirrels - or even small ones but maybe they knew how much you disliked him!!! Hopefully your breakfasts are more peaceful from now on!
