I have this oh-so-talented crafty friend who likes to "card everyone" and she sent me this sweet stem of flowers - stamped on watercolor paper. Watercoloring scares me and I think she was telling me to be brave and go for it! I didn't dive into the deep end of the pool but I did use water. I scribbled some zig markers on blocks and painted with an aquapainter - not too scary - maybe I will swim out farther next time! Thank you Michele!
I was inspired by both the photo and the sketch this week at Fusion!
Hardwood Embossing Folder (SU)
Paper: Balmy Blue, Whisper Whitre
Ink: Zig Markers, Versa Fine Clair Nocturne
Awesome card! Love the flowers and the blue woodgrain background is perfect! :)
ReplyDeleteSee that... you are already better than you think you are, Linda... amazing results from those little Zigs!! LOve the colors, and the wood embossing is perfection … go for the deep end, girlfriend!! You've GOT THIS!! xx

Quite simply gorgeous! I love the way you've colored these flowers and incorporate both challenges into one beautiful card. ♥
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad Michele encouraged you to do some watercoloring, Linda...Great job, too ~ Your blooms are so pretty, and I'm drooling over your woodgrain background! Such a pretty take on the challenge! Barb xx
ReplyDeleteYour sweet stem of blooms is so pretty Linda and perfect for the Fusion inspiration this week (which I love, by the way!) I think your soft colouring is really pretty - you should have a go at the watercolouring thing, I'm sure you'll do better than you think!
ReplyDeleteYou've done wonders with those Zigs! The texture in the background and your lovely sprigs are so beautiful together. :)
ReplyDeleteWow, these flowers are gorgeous and really pop against the textured "wall"!
ReplyDeletePersonally - I swim the other way!! Watercoloring requires letting go of control and that is so not me. It does seem to work for you - your flowers are lovely and I love that you showed them off with the simple blue background.
