When I looked at the Fusion challenge yesterday I though uh oh.....I don't have any bees. So I checked my snippet bowl where three tiny bees were hiding......
They were too tiny for my idea so I scoured retired SU sets and found an old hostess set called Pun Intended that had one big fat bee image! Score! But the sentiments didn't work so I hunted for the set that went with the tiny bees - an ancient set from Sunny Studio. I found it in a bin and it had a cute sentiment that said just bee-cause.......but the word just was missing!
On a shelf behind my desk is a clock with a silver metal casing. If I find a random clear stamp on the floor or somewhere that it shouldn't be I just stick it to the clock! My theory is that if I pull out a set with a missing piece I just check the clock! So I crossed my fingers and checked the clock and sure enough there was the tiniest little stamp that said just! It has been there so long that I don't even remember putting it there!
And it was smooth sailing from then on - I found a random piece of Hello Honey Ribbon, an inky background from my Distress Ink class, a honeycomb embossed card front and Cinnamon Cider embellishments. I need to just look around my desk more often!
It is always fun to play at Fusion! Hope you join us!

Sweet card! Love the colors! Hahaha...stuck to the clock, I'll have to remember to check there next time I lose something. ;) Glad that the missing stamp was there!

ReplyDeleteSuch a delightful card. The colors are so pretty and I like the bee image. - Also enjoyed hearing how this all came about. I too often have missing stamps that I try to put in a specific place to match up if and when I find them missing from a set.
