Button Up! PPA137

My daughter's college roommate is having a baby soon so I decided to get a card ready to go.  She and my daughter Erin are avid 90210 fans and spent hours watching the show while at college.  Even today they like to catch those all day rerun marathons!  Her roommate's first son has a definite 90210 name and I asked Erin if there was going to be another 90210 name.  Erin said she didn't know  - but I bet there is a 90210 name in the wings!  So in typical mother fashion I said "I can't imagine naming a baby after a TV character."  My daughter gave me the "seriously you didn't just say that" stare - and I burst out laughing.  I was so busted............yep I loved The Waltons...........good night John Boy..........good night Erin........

Use Margaret's sketch as your starting point and play at Pals Paper Arts this week!

  3. Aw, this is SO sweet...I just love it! I named my daughter after one of my sister's first grade friends. She was SO CUTE, I just kept that name tucked in my brain and when I had a girl, I was thrilled! Of course my grandfather told me that Dana was a MAN's name.....LOL! Probably from his era, it was!

  7. I had to giggle at your post. As a "Little House" fan, my daughter is Laura. She cringes when anyone asks about the origin of her name. At least it was unique (in the 80s).

  9. Adorable card, Linda! I love the color combination. Brady was named after one of my favorite students...Braedi! If he would have been a girl, it would have been spelled just like that :) We have a lot of Brady-Braedi pictures, and he was even in her wedding.
