Chit Chat - FMS 40

These little birds are adorable - just having a nice neighborly chat. Sometimes I need to be reminded to slow down, take a breath and chat with a neighbor.  Last Thursday I was unexpectedly called into work.  I was out running errands and said I would be there as soon as I could.  And then I started rushing............

When I got home I hooked the dog leash to my belt loop so Abby would be "walked" while I made trips to the car unloading groceries.  My cell phone was tucked into my neck while I rearranged an appointment - and  walked the dog and carried groceries - and waved to a neighbor as I scooted in and out of the house dragging a very confused poodle.

On my last trip across the lawn I called the library on my cell to say I'd be there in 15 minutes. While I waited for someone to answer I heard my home phone ring in the kitchen.  A quick sprint through the back door to grab the phone and there I stood - a dog clipped to my waist, a grocery bag hanging on each arm and a phone on each ear. As I said hello on the house phone I heard hello come through my cell phone!

When you call yourself it is definitely time to slow down.............

Hope you have time to slow down and play along at Freshly Made Sketches!

  5. Funny story Linda! When I call myself it's usually because I can't find my cell phone - I'm always putting it down in strange places. Those little birds are adorable and I love how you added the little flowers with the pearl centers. Super card!

  14. I'm pretty sure your card is nice...but I've been distracted by the phone story so I don't really know. What I'd like to know is if the lady who answered the phone said it was ok if you were there in 15 minutes!

  15. Oh, my, i can relate. I've not called myself ;) but in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the last month or so of school, I needed a SERIOUS breather. Now that they're finished with school, I am much more relaxed.

    Hope you're having calmer days!
