Lucky! FMS76

Time for the annual St. Patrick's Day card!  Actually I made two of these since my husband John and his twin sister share a St. Patrick's Day birthday.  Her card will contain some Lottery Tickets - so I hope she is lucky! His card sends the message that we are lucky to have each other because I can't believe anyone else has conversations like this:

I swear the following is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth........

The setting:  I was home watching Emma and the noon news when the phone rings and my daughter's home phone number pops up on the TV screen. I immediately think my daughter came home from work early. I answer the phone.

Me:  What's wrong?  Why are you home?
John:  I'm not home.  Aren't you home?
Me:  Of course I'm home - you just called me here.
John:  Well then you should know I am not there.
Me:  I know you're not here - I thought something happened with Erin.
John:  Something happened to Erin?
Me:  Nothing happened to Erin - I meant with Erin - like a reason to make her come home early.
John:  Well I'm at her house and she's not here.
Me:  I KNOW WHERE YOU ARE!!!
John:  Well then I don't know why you are so confused!

So help me God.........

No confusion at Freshly Made Sketches this week - just a great sketch from Linda S!

And there is a Go Green Challenge this week at SUO Challenges!

  1. Hilarious! I loved your story and your card. The shamrocks on the chevron pattern look fantastic and I like how you also added some "gold" to your card by using the summer starfruit ribbon. Well done!

  16. Typical male convoluted logic. I can certainly relate. I've been married to one of those for the last 32 years. I think I'm still somewhat sane; although there are times when I'm not so sure.

Love the card by the way.

  17. Very funny Linda! We've had plenty of those kinds of conversations at my house! I love your card! Those shamrocks are so cute with those pearls. I was just thinking that I needed to make some cards for St. Patrick's. I always forget and they never get made. Your card is such a wonderful inspiration for me!

  21. Oh my gosh, Linda! That is so hilarious! It reminds me of "Who's on first?". Men are so confused, but they keep us laughing. You card is fabulous. I love everything about it, but was especially attracted to the spritzing... a tool that I never remember.

  23. What a fabulous St. Patrick's day card!! Love the shamrocks and the lucky banner.

That conversation is too funny (well at least maybe now but not when you were in the middle of it LOL!). I think I had a lot of those types when I was spaced out exhausted and sleep deprived when my kids were young!
