The Best Things in Life........PPA154
Oh that tulle reminds me of the netting on the hats my mother wore in the 40's and 50's. (Yep I'm old!) I got a new hat every year for Easter and couldn't wait until I was "old enough" for a bit of a veil on my hat. By the time I was old enough hats were so yesterday. We just wore flowers in our hair.............
Pals Paper Arts has a sweet color challenge this week!
Looks like Emma is rockin' these colors too!
Love how you've combined these colours Linda - just gorgeous! (and so is Emma)
ReplyDeleteACK---I just want to hug that little baby! I miss those days! Your card, as well as Emma's shirt, is adorable! I remember my mom's hats too...although I never wore one, my MIL wore one every Sunday to church until she passed away two years ago! She was known as the "hat lady"!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your card! Emma is just the sweetest little thing!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit jealous that Emma already has enough hair to hold a bow! Your card came out so cute! Maybe you work better under the pressure of a deadline than you thought you did? ;)
ReplyDeletemethinks Miss Emma looks like her lovely nana! Beautiful, bold card. Love how the focus is on the sentiment and everything else is subtle!
ReplyDeleteLove that bow in Emma's hair! She's changing so fast these days. Love your card too. What a great touch with that tulle!
ReplyDeleteYour card is lovely but Emma really steals the show - she is a sweetie! The tulle and pearls on your card are the perfect embellishment.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I love how you added the tulle, it adds so much to the card. Love it.
ReplyDeleteLove this, Linda! The white just pops beautifully and the simplicity of this card makes it all the more elegant!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card and love the netting.
ReplyDeleteTerrific touch of tulle. Your granddaughter definitely upstages even your loveliest of cards! I know you don't mind!! :-)
ReplyDeleteLinda What a great card. Love your tulle and pearls...
ReplyDeleteI do remember wearing a hat to church with a tiny vail that touched my nose. I thought I was all that and bag a chips! hugs.
Love the colors on Emma too. What a little cutie patootie! hugs
That tulle is the perfect touch, Linda, especially with the pearls! A lovely card for sure! Little Emma looks like one happy baby! What a cutie pie!
ReplyDeleteLinda,
ReplyDeleteI just want to reach through my computer screen and touch that tulle...and pinch those cute little cheeks;) Card and baby beautiful creations!
Linda, beautiful card and love how you combined the color combo.
ReplyDeleteStunning card hun and thank you for popping by mine and leaving such a sweet comment...means a lot!!
ReplyDeletehugs and xxx

Oh my goodness, Linda Callahan! Even though I LOVE your card, you could have just layered a border of Raspberry Ripple around little Emma's pic and adhered it to a base of Crumb Cake! She is so precious and wears these colors so well!
ReplyDeleteSigh, so gorgeous! I don't believe you about the tulle! :)
ReplyDeleteCan't believe how big Emma is getting, she's a beauty with those bright, happy eyes!
Love the color combo. The bit of veil is fabulous and the pearls tossed in is brilliant!!
ReplyDeleteYour little granddaughter is soooo cute! She is definitely rocking the colours :)
