It's almost time for the big day around here! Miss Emma is headed for her first birthday in four short weeks. She is almost ready to walk and talk. So we await the first official step and that first official word. Right now her major talent is to mimic laughter. When she hears someone laugh she copies it and then laughs herself! In the meantime we are all coaching her trying to get her to say something. And of course we all have our own agenda as to what word we are practicing with her. My daughter has a busy day of meetings tomorrow so I will have Emma for ten hours.......wonder how many times I can say Grandma in ten hours.........
Rita designed a sweet sketch for us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!
Very cute card!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, how can she be almost a year....Cassidy will be three on Saturday! What a cute little lady bug you've got there....and a cute card too! I think I may use this sketch for a certain birthday card myself!
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to decide which is more adorable - your card or Emma!, Okay, Emma wins! Your card will have to take second place!
ReplyDeleteYour granddaughter and your card are both beautiful! Good luck with her first word!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie pie!
ReplyDeleteYour card is adorable too! I love how you cut out the two balloons. Neat! That 'critter' still makes me smile. We always wonder what kind of 'critter' it is. =) Thank you for sharing! Lynn G.
Emma is a darling. I know you will have fun. I babysit my great grandchildren (10, 7, 4) 2 days a week and I certainly hear Nana a lot during that time.
ReplyDeleteLove your sweet card also. TFS
SO sweet! I love the fun look of the offset circles!
ReplyDeleteWell, isn't Miss Emma just the sweetest thing in her ladybug dress! And some day she will adore this cute card! Maybe her first word will be "stamps!"
ReplyDeleteAdorable! The card is pretty cute too. I can't believe how old these girls are getting! Laila took a few little hoppy steps today so we are still waiting on her to kick it in gear. Jason has been working with her every day to get her to, so it will probably happen while he's at work.
ReplyDeleteOh I love this card! I love red! That stamp set is so fun! Love those chevrons!!! I can't believe Emma will be 1! Oh, she is so sweet! I think you can work with her to say Grandma!!! 10 hours should be lots of time!!!!
ReplyDeleteCute card Linda! And Miss Emma is super cute in her ladybug dress!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun and clever way to fill the circles in this sketch. And I love the chevrons. Your little ladybug is adorable. I loved that age -- so much fun!
ReplyDeleteLoved your card- pulling out all the colors in the DSP. How creative to use the Tag It in the three circles! And, all of course, the icing on the cake is sweet little Emma:)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great card, Linda! I love all the details and layers of the circles! And I can't believe Miss Emma is almost a year old already!

ReplyDeleteI love how the chevrons point to the card inside! Such a cutie pie card and little one! :)
