What's In A Name? PPA198

I used the colors from Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge this week (Pool Party, Old Olive, Summer Starfruit) to make a birthday card for my mom.  She will be 89 and I still call her Mom.  My kids called her Gram from the start. At 18 months Emma has been saying Momma and Daddy for a while but my husband and I have been waiting to see what she would call us.  The wait is over my friends......the results are in.........

The Back Story:  My husband picks up Emma in the morning and when he walks into my daughter's house he shouts "Hey who's ready to go?" and she comes running!  When she arrives at our house she runs into the kitchen, I pick her up, hug her and put her hand on my cheek and say "gramma". It seems I say that last syllable with a short u sound as in "up" and not an ahhhh sound.

She calls us Hey and Muh...............

  9. Lovely card and great use of the colours. Cute story too. Hubby's father is called "grumpa" because the kids couldn't say Grandpa.

  11. This is beautiful, Linda! I haven't made mine yet.

My granddaughter started off calling me Nana or Nan (my choice) but changed it on her own to Nanny. I wouldn't have picked it, but I definitely love it now! Sounds proper like Nahnny.
