Over the Edge....FMS184

Kim has a fun sketch for us this week at Freshly Made Sketches.  She asked us to take an element and just put it over the edge a bit!  Over the edge describes me perfectly these days as we enter week three of our kitchen renovation! But the new floor is down, cabinets are almost done and the appliances arrive today so the end is in sight.

Last night I read an article that listed eight things you
"must" do if you renovate your kitchen.  I have learned a few things of my own through this renovation so I thought I would share a few things you should know if you undertake a major renovation........

1.  Buy a new bathrobe.....especially if your refrigerator is on the porch.  Construction guys get up very early so you will be answering the door by 7 am.

2.  Don't think for one minute that those plastic sheets hung in the doorways will keep construction dust out of the rest of your house.

3.  Scraping glue and vinyl off your kitchen floor with an ice scraper for 6 hours pretty much guarantees you won't be able to get out of bed the next morning.

4.  Don't read articles that tell you 8 things you must do in your kitchen reno because you might get to #8 and realize you haven't done one of them......

                                 Hope you join us!

  2. Sweet card! Love the over the edge idea too and your tag fits the ticket. I love how you used the single candle too, clean and simple! Maybe you need to pass those 8 "must dos" along! :)

  12. I love this card, Linda. How you were able to create such a cute and happy card in the midst of your renovation is beyond my comprehension! The renovation is like being in labor: once your kitchen is done, you'll forget the pain of bringing it to fruition! (I hope). :)
