My post yesterday was about the ocean - today it's the mountains! If I had to choose between the two the mountains would win every time. The ocean is terrific for a vacation but I love living in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. But we have had a few interesting conversations high in the mountains as well.......
Everyone just lay very still - there is a raccoon in the tent eating potato chips - at least I think it is a raccoon.......said my Dad once long ago.
Just follow me - I will lead you down.......said the Big Guy as he disappeared into a blizzard of snow while skiing at Whiteface.
Mom we aren't even to the chairlift yet.....said my son as I gasped for air just crossing the parking lot in the Rockies.
These days I just chill by the fire and enjoy the view.....another tough job that someone has to do!
I had a great time stamping and putting the pieces together to create this scene using Always An Adventure. Hope you join us at Pals Paper Arts!
That is awesome!! Love the colors and the clean design. And your comments are the exact reason why I don't camp in a tent...strictly a cabin with a working toilet inside kind of person. ;)
ReplyDeleteYour card really spoke to me!!! I am a mountain/lake kind of woman that now enjoys my sitting by the campfire time too. What beautiful work you do!!! Glad to run into you today!!! 😊
ReplyDeleteI love this card, Linda! Every piece is perfectly placed and a great use of this sketch. The mountains are a far cry from the beach - I'd choose this setting any day. Love!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute take on the sketch Linda! Love everything about it.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, just popping by to say thank you for choosing my card as your fav. over at Freshly Made Sketches. It was a delight to see it up there.
ReplyDeleteHa ha! Love your little snippets of conversations. So funny.
I LOVE your card. All those little die cuts are perfectly placed for your mountain scene.
No mountains here in the Yorkshire Dales, but we do have some very nice hills :-))

ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea for this stamp set, a Christmas card! Love the scene you created and it might remind you of a place where you have lots of fun times!
ReplyDeleteI love it! Your photography makes me want to touch all of the texture. I may have to have this set ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh this is so fabulous, Linda! I just love all the little details! And as always your associated narrative is so entertaining. We really have to meet in real life one day. As an incentive, we can go from the beach to the mountains in the same day here... just sayin'
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute!
ReplyDeleteBut I really love your mountain stories... hugs.
Such a fun card Linda! Love the little scene that you created! Makes me want to go camping! Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteWow! Absolutely awesome, Linda!
ReplyDeleteLinda, I'm one of your hidden card-making fans and I come to you for inspiration because all your work is such perfection. We are a camping family and I too love the mountains, but for now I'm surrounded by hills (lol). Camping truly does give our inner souls peaceful tranquility.
ReplyDeleteI've been on the fence about this set, and you just sold me! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! Love the hilarious quips.
