I am not a fan of spiders but they sure are fun to put on a Halloween card! One of the first books I always read to my class each fall was Charlotte's Web....and every year I cried when Charlotte died! I know that's crazy but it also made me more tolerant of these creepy things. So instead of smacking it with a newspaper when I find a spider in the house I try to scoop it up and toss it outside onto my hedges. I do love seeing webs on the hedges covered in dew in the early morning hours!
Patti designed a great sketch for us this week at Pals Paper Arts! I used Jar of Haunts for my card today.
This is a really cute card in black and white on the brick wall. It's a great take on the sketch. Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool design! Love the black and gray color combo...but those spiders are creeping me out a bit. I want to take my shoe and smash them on the computer screen! ;)
ReplyDeleteBwahahaha! I hate spiders, but on this card, they are just tooooooo cute! Your card is at the top of the list, my friend!
ReplyDeleteYour card reminded me to wave my arms in front of me before I passed through my yard this morning! Always looking for those nasty spider webs to hit me in the face so I can scream and wake up the neighbors! Your spideys look friendly, though!
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute! Love the idea of the jar with the creepy little bugs!... I do love the morning sun on dew lit webs... but nah... I still smash them those little buggers! Hugs.
ReplyDeleteWhat a GREAT idea! These jars just keep getting filled with the best ideas!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing!
Those spiders spilling out of the jar are so scary! And I feel like those eyes are watching me! Great take on the sketch, Linda…loved it as soon as I saw it. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat card Linda - fab take on the sketch! I am a big fan of Charlotte's Web too - and yes, I always cry at the sad bit!!
ReplyDeleteI am not a fan of spiders...but I would be if they were as cute as this card! Adorable! I love the eyes!!! So sinister and spooky....
