You've Got A Friend......FMS399

If this sentiment makes you want to sing a James Taylor song then you and I are on the same wavelength!  I had to combine a sentiment from Bella and Friends and one from Daisy Lane to make it work.  But now I am going to be hearing that song in my head all day!

Use three of any shape you'd like for Jen Brum's sweet sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!

Stamp Set: Daisy Lane, Bella and Friends
Ink:  Seaside Spray, Grapefruit Grove, Granny Apple Green
Paper:  Whisper White, Seaside Spray, Gingham Gala DSP

  3. James Taylor, yes, but Randy Newman, too. I'm singing the Toy Story theme! :)

  4. Well, that's not a bad song to have in your head, I could think of ones that are a lot worse! I love your trio of flowers, especially with the stems going off the side! Of course, I love THREES, so I will definitely be playing with this sketch ASAP!

  5. What a cute card! I’m just beginning to try to make cards and really love it. Can I ask what stamps you used, as I’m trying to buy stamps I think I will get a lot of use out of. I love James Taylor, great choice! Thank you

  6. I used the Daisy Lane stamp set from Stampin’ Up! For the flowers, stem and the word friend. Then I used part of a sentiment from Bella and friends - also SU - for the words You’ve Got A......hope that helps Scoutie!

  7. Great take on the sketch, Linda! I prefer the James Taylor version, but too many viewings of Toy Story over the years has me hearing Randy Newman first.

  9. This is such a sweet card Linda! I love those pretty daisies and the gingham paper! My kids always get the worst songs stuck in my head. I swear they sing Baby Shark just to annoy me!!!

  10. So pretty and perfectly sweet! You made this mama who is about to send another one off to college a little teary-eyed this morning. That James Taylor song is what I used to sing at bedtime to all of my children when they were little. Every time I hear that song now, I think of those nights and miss those sweet times.

  13. I love your creative daisy design Linda but I especially love that sentiment! Yes I'm singing it now - what a cool way to combine stamps to create something new. Off to dig out Bella and Friends and investigate what else I can add to the two large words in the daisy set!!
