Love is in the air as we approach Valentine's Day! Freezing rain and snow are also in the air. It has been cold enough to harvest the ice on Saranac Lake to build the annual Snow Castle. Saranac Lake is north of us near Lake Placid in the Adirondacks. You will never find the Big Guy in the tropics but when there is snow and ice involved he's there! So here are my favorite three guys checking out the construction!
I used the sketch, theme and colors from the photo as my inspiration this week at Fusion - hope you play along!
The Paper Players have a Love theme this week!
The Card Concept also has a Valentine theme this week using red, white and black.
Stamps: Love You To Pieces
Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, From My Heart DSP
Ink: Real Red
Wowza...this is one fabulous card! I love those puzzle pieces in red! The DSP is perfect, especially with the little touches of black! All-round LOVELY card! The ice castle is amazing! We haven't had a bit of anything vaguely resembling snow or ice! I guess I should be glad but I kind of miss it a bit! Anyway, thanks for playing with the Players...we always love seeing what you create!
ReplyDeleteI love this card to pieces - that's dsp with the pink hearts??? OMG that is so sweet!
ReplyDeleteThanks for showing us that castle - amazing the way you Up-Stater's embrace Winter in such a fabulous way! GO Big Guy! and Medium Guy, and wee William, too!

Such a cute card! Love the puzzle pieces and the colors are prefect. That ice castle is pretty cool too! Glad that we're not quite that cold here. ;)
ReplyDeleteLove these pictures, and love this card! Such fun, Linda!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card, Linda, and the puzzle pieces for a sentiment is just so fun! Swooning over that dsp as well! Love seeing those photos of your three guys and that awesome snow castle! Thanks so much for joining The Paper Players this week!
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute.
ReplyDeleteWOW! This is one gorgeous Valentine! I adore the beautiful DSP and the fun puzzle pieces. This is one puzzle I could actually put together! LOL! Oh my, that ice castle is unbelievable! I am not much of a winter fan, but I would venture out to see this! Looks like the Big Guy and his posse are having fun! So happy you joined my challenge at The Paper Players this week! XX
ReplyDeleteYour card has such dimension! The layering is wonderful and you really did a great job with all the challenges. Thanks for joining us at The Card Concept!
ReplyDeleteYup. Pretty much the perfect Valentine, Linda. Living in San Diego, I can't even imagine harvesting ice from a lake to build a castle, LOL.
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous Linda - I was only thinking to myself the other day that I should use those puzzle pieces on a Valentine's card! I love the embossed panel and the DSP hearts look almost puffy, so cute. The touches of black frame everything beautifully. So whilst your hubby and I are clearly polar opposites (give me sunshine and a pool over snow any day!!) I am totally fascinated by that ice castle - how amazing! I would definitely make a trip for that - off to do a little Googling on the location to see exactly where it is! Thanks for sharing your love-ly creation with us over at The Paper Players this week!
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous card, Linda! I love the embossed detail and those puzzle pieces are so perfect for a Valentine's Day card. The twine "loops" are the perfect touch. Thanks so much for joining us this week over at The Paper Players!
