Hello Friends - it has been a while! Since it is the Fourth of July and Color Hues has a R/W/B challenge going on, I decided it was time to jump back into the crafting pool. I created an easy breezy R/W/B card to celebrate! Along with Independence Day I am celebrating the end of June!
June was full of doctors' appointments for me as I was officially declared over the Bell's Palsy I developed in January. I had to take hearing tests, balance tests, eye tests, blinking tests, blood tests ...... and they snuck those dreaded scopes while they were at it. The good news is I am fine and passed them all! But the bad news is I came down with Covid two days after my last test.....sigh.....
The Big Guy went to Williamsport, Pennsylvania for a Little League conference in early June and returned with the Covid bug. Trying to quarantine him in the house was impossible and a week later I came down with it.....and then I passed it on to Emma! We have all been vaccinated and our cases were mild - just head cold symptoms for a few days - Thank Heaven!
So I am happy to see the first six months of 2022 over and done! Hope you had a wonderful Fourth of July weekend! Ours was sunny and bright!
Stamp Set and Patterned Paper: Celebrate (Honey Bee)
Paper: Real Red, Whisper White, Pacific Point
My goodness...with a month like that I'd be celebrating the end of June too!!! Glad that you're all feeling better and that you're back to smiling again. :) Yay!
ReplyDeleteLinda, I have to tell you it was so good to see you back in my inbox - even with this post full of good news/bad news! It's over and we're well rid of the first half of this year, for sure! Something to celebrate - and so is your darling card! I just love the confetti paper inside your sweet hearts!

Such a fun card! Love the cutout stars! Hope your 4th was great.
ReplyDeleteLinda, First and foremost...I am so glad you are feeling better it certainly sounds like you have had quite an ordeal. Then Covid on top of it. I certainly hope the rest of the year is much better! As for your beautiful card...I love it. The DSP makes for a perfect backdrop to your bold stars. I love that the greeting is equally as dynamic. Thanks for choosing Color Hues to play along with. I wish you good health from here on out. Take care!
ReplyDeleteI hope the rest of your year is a very healthy one! That was a lot to deal with. Covid seems much more prevalent here since we all got vaccinated and boosted; it seems so random. Your card is the perfect celebration of Red, White, and Blue! Those striking stars with the patterned paper backgrounds are fabulous! Thanks for playing cards with us at Color Hues!
ReplyDeleteLinda I really hope that the rest of this year is all sunshine and roses, you poor thing, you have gone through so much. Your card is delightful and so happy you are crafting again. Thank you so much for sharing with us at the Color Hues!
ReplyDeleteLinda, so sorry to hear you've been sick! Hopefully over the covid by now. And here I was picturing you having your lemonade on the front porch in June!
ReplyDeleteMust say you've come back with fanfare with this star of a card. Love it! Thanks for playing along at Color Hues!
