I am actually a Baby Boomer and not GenerationX but I was delighted to be invited to join the X Design Team for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge! The Challenges are Bi-Weekly and a different game board is posted for each one. So many options with this challenge! I look forward to working with this talented group of designers!
I may have also been inspired by this wonderful photo a friend of mine took from her back deck. She lives on a hilltop overlooking Ithaca, NY. (You can see the buildings of Cornell University on the opposite hill.) She has a wonderful view that often includes hot air balloons launched just below her property!
This week's Tic Tac Toe game board:
I chose the diagonal route from Enamel Dots through the Die Cut and on to Dry Embossing. Hope you join us!
Stamps; Hot Air Balloon (SU!), English Rooftops (Purple Onion)
Paper: Lemon Lolly, Moody Mauve
Ink: Azure Afternoon, Crumb Cake, Lemon Lolly, Lemon Lime Twist, Memento Black
Yay! Congratulations!! Love your hot air balloon card, the "fluffy" clouds are perfect! :)around the balloons!
ReplyDeleteLinda, we loved our visit to Cornell's Lab of Ornithology a few years back - loved Ithaca but didn't see any hot air balloons! Maybe next time? [and I won't come back without seeing YOU!]
ReplyDeleteWith cute paper balloons like this who needs the hot air? So darling with your embossed clouds!
Congratulations on your new team assignment!

Congrats on your new DT gig, Linda! Your debut card is wonderful. Love the balloons and pink cityscape! Hot air balloons flew over our house often when I was a teenager. Scared out poor little dog to death!
ReplyDeleteWe are so lucky to have you on Team X at Tic Tac Toe Linda! Loving this dynamic card, packed with gorgeous detail. The textured clouds, the decorated balloon and... the little cat looking surprised in the window!! Vicky x
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great card Linda! I love those hot air balloons! Love all the details! We have lots of hot air balloons around here in the summer and they're always so fun to see! So I'm a Gen X girl. All I know is I was born in the age of brown and orange!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous card for your debut at Tic-Tac-Toe! The colours you've chosen work so beautifully together.
