One holiday card finished! Only 999 more to go! No I don't really make that many but I am notorious for starting my holiday cards way too late so it seems like I have a zillion to make all at once! I found a sweet sheet of DSP in my retired holiday stash and used it as a backdrop for the cardinals from the new holiday set Wintery Trees.
And while I was crafting my daughter took Emma and her friends to the new Minions movie to escape the afternoon heat! I love how they dressed up like minions and made my daughter dress like Gru - whoever that is!
Karren designed a wonderful sketch for us this week at Freshly Made Sketches! Hope you join us!
Ink: Memento Black, Copics
Paper: Blueberry Bushel, A Walk in the Forest DSP
What a charming image. I love the bright red against the cool wintery greenery!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty card! Love the layering, perfect colors too! Glad that they enjoyed the movie! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, my goodness, Linda! What a gorgeous way to use such a pretty paper - what better place to perch a pair of bright red birds!
ReplyDeleteCall me crazy, but I just love those Minions movies! Your daughter is such a good sport - good thing they didn't ask her to shave her head!

Love that Christmas card, I need to stop hoarding that DSP and use some of it myself! Cute Minions too....and Gru may not be the most admirable character to have to emulate, but he does redeem himself!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done, Linda this is a wonderful card! The girls and your daughter all look so cute. Gotta love those minions!
ReplyDeleteJust fabulous Linda! I love the branches theme and those cardinals make a lovely bright splash against the DSP. You are not alone in your approach to Christmas card making I can assure you! Love the photo of your minions and Gru! Vicky x
ReplyDeleteGorgeous holiday card, Linda! The cardinals are perfect for the center element.
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas card count is on a par with mine, so well done! :) This is gorgeous and I think those wee birds are adorable!
