Hitting the Wall.......FMS192

The good news is that my kitchen is almost done - just painting and crown molding to do.  And my mother's apartment is almost completely packed, sorted and ready for the movers.  Notice I'm saying almost......there was no work to be done today because I hit the wall yesterday and needed a break! That must have been on my mind when I made this card because I used the new brick wall embossing folder - such a cool effect! A beautiful flower from Bountiful Blooms and words from Tin of Cards look terrific on my wall! If you're going to hit the wall it might as well be a pretty one!

Oh that talented Jen Mitchell has a great sketch for us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Hope you join us!

Hang on Swoopy! PPA256

Soft Suede and Early Espresso work well together to say a simple hello.  I used SU's new Greetings thinlits for the hello - I love how swoopy it is.  It works perfectly with Kerry's sketch this week at Pals Paper Arts - hope you play along!  I would love to see what you swoop across the top!

Tea-licious! FMS191

One of the hardest things about my recent kitchen renovation was not being able to brew tea for a month. Call me crazy but microwave tea just doesn't cut it for me.  I need a good boiling kettle of water to brew my tea!  I think the big guy would say one of the hardest things for him was some of the wild things I made him eat for dinner!  We fell into a pattern of ordering out a big late lunch and then figuring out something creative for dinner - like toast, hot fudge sundaes, oatmeal or popcorn.  We had pizza one afternoon before leaving for the mall - an hour's drive for us country folk!  After shopping I got the bright idea to get movie popcorn and cokes for the ride home.  Two small cokes and two medium popcorns came to $26.71......there are no nice words to describe what I was thinking when I paid that bill......let's just say that I could have bought a mighty fine stamp set for that!

The amazing Jen Timko designed a wonderful sketch for us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  So brew a pot of tea and play along!

I was also inspired by this tea-lightful photo at The Challenge!

Stamp Review Crew - Petite Petals

The Stamp Review Crew is featuring Petite Petals this week. I used a bit of Painted Blooms DSP along the edge and Adventure Bound DSP for the bucket and then just filled it with flowers.  A perfect summery way to say hi!  Now I am off to enjoy this summery day at the lake - have to cherish every one we get in the northeast.  Someone I know is already there guarding the beach against pirates!

If you are hopping along in order you have arrived from my very talented friend Heidi Baks' site. Technically I am the end of the line but if you didn't start at the beginning then hop over to Debra's site and enjoy!
