Lemon Lolly....FMS583

 

I have scattered some of Stampin' Up's new-soon -to-be-available colors around on my card today.  My right eye cataract surgery was successful and now I await round two on my left eye.  But in the meantime my vision is definitely lopsided so my card is super simple!

I loved Narelle's funky sketch this week and decided a bird on a branch would work perfectly!  That sweet singer is stamped in Lemon Lolly and she is singing notes in Azure Afternoon.  Meanwhile her feet are resting on a Pecan Pie branch adorned with Moody Mauve and Bubble Bath flowers.  Love the new color names!

Birthday Wishes....FMS580

 

I got the Easter baskets out for the grandkids yesterday and and put that wonderful plastic Easter grass into them......and now there seems to be Easter grass everywhere in my house.  I'm sure that led me to pull out Parakeet Party ink, cardstock and dots for my card!  

I inked a background stamp in Versamark and then clear embossed the images in Tahitian Tide.  I used an alcohol marker to highlight the bows in a similar color before cutting the sheet to fit the sketch.  Easy and fun!

And on a personal note I won't be "around" too much for the next week or two......or three....I am having cataract surgery on my right eye and if all goes well the left eye will be done soon after.  I certainly hope this means I will be able to drive at night again!  Right now daylight is my best friend!

If there is anything that will make a bunny drop his armful of Easter eggs it is a box of carrots!  But if they were chocolate malted Easter eggs and I were that bunny I would never drop them for carrots!  So ready for spring but this is still happening in our neck of the woods......

Will ( who just turned four) and his dad are coming down the front of West Mountain.  He got the ski genes for sure from his dad and the Big Guy!

Life Is Sweeter - With Ice Cream! FMS578

 

Who says ice cream is only good in the summer time?  There is still plenty of snow around here even though it is officially Spring!  An ice cream sundae is the perfect treat while watching snow melt!  I am a fan of ice cream and so is my furry sidekick Pepper. She was very interested in what I was doing once she saw an ice cream sundae!

The Share A Milkshake stamp set is delightful!  Although being a big fan of milkshakes I must say I would rather not share......
