Starting Point........PPA34....Sketch Challenge....

Margaret Moody's sketch for the PPA Challenge this week was a wonderful starting point for my card today. Next come all of those other decisions - colors? papers? stamps? But the question that helps me the most is - Who will be receiving this? I am a hobby stamper who likes to make things with a specific someone or specific occasion in mind. The cards I make are usually in the mail or on a gift within a week of being posted. My mother's birthday and Mother's Day are a few days apart so I'll be starting another card for her soon. For this card I used Rose Red and Certainly Celery paper. I inked the branch from Thoughts and Prayers with Chocolate Chip, Rose Red, Ruby Red, Certainly Celery and Old Olive markers and used a sentiment from Well Scripted. I'm a plain Jane kind of gal - which you may have noticed - but my mother loves bling so I broke down and added some pearls :)

LOVE LOVE LOVE this! I wish that most of my cards got mailed right off, but most of them are in a box! I work on that all the time, though, trying to send cards to bring some cheer to friends and family. This card is wayyyyyy too pretty to sit in a box!

Beautiful card, Linda.

Mother's Day is going to be so hard for me this year... but maybe I can turn to the idea of remembering & honoring my Mom.
