Awesome Stuff! PP306, #GDP046

I am lucky enough to know more than one person who could be the recipient of this card.......but I am thinking about sending it to our local weatherman.  Why you may ask??? Well I am not a fan of the heat for sure but I am a fan of hot fudge sundaes for sure. Therefore in an effort to get me through those very warm days and in an effort to keep my craving under control I have developed a summer hot fudge sundae eating program. 90 degree days are rare up here so my rule is if the temp reaches 90 degrees I reach for a hot fudge sundae!  We actually had three 90 degree days in the past two weeks and that dear old weatherman just predicted two more for the end of next week!  Could be a record setting summer!

Laurie has a fun Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge for us this week at the Paper Players!  I used enamel dots, Pop of Pink Designer Paper and the Awesome Die-cut from Neat and Tangled along with the Labeler Alphabet set for the sentiment.

I used the sweet sketch at Global Design Project for my design!

Grafitti.........FMS247

I love the new DSP Serene Scenery but I never seem to know what to do with it.......until my crafty friend LeAnne Pugliese posted about how to use such paper....and I quote:

I am loving the papers in the Serene Scenery tablet, but sometimes they can be a bit challenging!  I have found that stamping a big honkin' sentiment right on the paper works great!

So I decided to put a big honkin' flower with leaves and a sentiment right on my fence panel just as if someone came along and added some grafitti to it!  LeAnne's quote just made me smile and for some reason this card does too!

Shannon's wonderful sketch has endless possibilities at Freshly Made Sketches this week! I used images from Garden in Bloom, Pun Intended and a sentiment from Sentiment Sampler by Paper Smooches......and of course a sheet of DSP from Serene Scenery!

Stamp Review Crew: Thoughtful Branches

The Stamp Review Crew is featuring Thoughtful Branches today. It's perfect for a blog hop because the possibilities with that set are endless! You could easily play all day with this bundle of images and thinlits.  I kept it simple using just basic leaves and some dots.....which I actually think are meant to to cover one of the tree images.  I am looking forward to this hop myself to see what amazing things the team has created!

If you have just come from Debra's wonderful site you are on track and ready to move on to see what amazing project my friend Mike Funke has made for you!

I used the sketch at Cas(e) this Sketch as the basis for my design.

Best Fishes.....PP305

Miss Emma was excited to welcome a new member to the family......her very own Beta fish named Blaze!  Unfortunately Blaze went belly up a few days after he arrived.  Emma insisted he go to the vet since he wasn't looking well.....for sure!  So Blaze got scooped out and Emma's dad headed back to the fish shop to "see the vet".......and to see if Blaze had a twin. I am happy to report that Blaze did indeed have a twin and "Blaze" is now back to swimming happily in his little tank........after receiving "medicine from the vet."  So how old do you think she will be when she figures out what really happened to Blaze?!??!

My super talented friend Nance has a great sketch for us at the Paper Players!  I used fish from Seaside Shore, a sentiment from Jar of Love and By the Shore DSP for my fishy scene.....I am thinking it will make a cute anniversary card!

Summer Sweetness.....PPA310

The funky fruits and flowers in the Fresh Fruit set are fun......and pair up perfectly with Fruit Stand DSP.......such a summery combo!

Here's another summery combo enjoying life at the lake....Miss Emma and Uncle Mikey....

Baby Bee.......FMS 246

These cute bees and their hive are actually from a set called Shooting Star. I stenciled the background using Scattered Straw Distress Ink and then colored the hive and bees with Zig Markers.  By masking off part of the sentiment  I can use this card to welcome a new little bee!

Rita's sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches is bee-utiful!

Watercoloring....a bit....PP304

My college roommate lives in NYC and celebrates a birthday this month.  If I really could put a big candle on top of her building I would......but this card will have to do! I watercolored with shades of blue, violet and a touch of pink to create my daybreak background.  Then I stamped the skyline from Calling All Heroes.  Watercoloring is not my strong suit but someone I know loves it!

Jaydee's challenge this week is to do some watercoloring on a CAS card......have fun with the Paper Players!

I was also inspired by the sketch at Cas(e) this Sketch.

My talented friend Jen Mitchell squared things up for us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  I used some delightful images from Birthday Fiesta and bright colors from Festive Birthday DSP

Birthday Flowers.......PP303, CTS#180

Summer is in full swing here and the flowers are blooming! My peonies have faded but the hydrangeas are budding. And someone I know has her own little house with a beautiful window box abloom!

A neighbor was going to junk this little house but Emma's mom and the Big Guy rescued it.  Here's the BG last fall dragging it into place.  When Emma outgrows this sweet house it will become the garden shed!

My oh so talented friend Nance Leedy has a wonderful color challenge for us this week at the Paper Players!

I used Sunshine Greetings and Blooms & Bliss DSP to create my card following the fun sketch at Cas(e) this Sketch!  A bit of embossing paste adds a stone wall texture to the lower panels.

Congrats! PPA308

We are headed to a wedding this weekend and I made this card to enclose with the gift until..........

My daughter breezed in and headed upstairs to my craft room saying I need a baby card for a little girl..............

I hollered after her saying you know where they are.......

Down she came with this card saying I found this on your desk - I love it -  so pretty for a baby girl...

And because she is my baby girl I didn't say nooooo not that one!!!

Ann Schach designed our terrific sketch at Pals Paper Arts this week!  Hope you play along!  I used the wonderful diecuts from Sunshine Wishes to create my card along with a gold sheet of the new designer acetate paper.

Cuzzie Friends......FMS244

The best part of our annual Cuzziepalooza get together at the lake every Fourth of July weekend is that cousins get to connect in person - and that includes the grown up cousins as well as the kid cousins~!  We always have a great time and this year the festivities stretched over two days.

Even Gram joined in the celebration one afternoon!

But after two days of entertaining 20 people lakeside this is how the Big Guy and I celebrated on Monday.........

My talented friend Jen Timko has a great sketch for us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Hope you join us!  I used Zig Markers to watercolor this sweet image from Bella & Friends and framed it with Pop of Pink DSP.

Celebrations......PP302, CTS179

It's a celebratory weekend for sure!  We will be at the lake with about 25 family members celebrating in red, white and blue!  But when I thought about creating a Christmas card my thoughts went to a simple wish for Peace on Earth......worth honoring that sentiment any time of year.

The Paper Players are celebrating Christmas in July this week!

I used the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch for inspiration!
