Thank U - PPA107

Once upon a time kids riding school buses on field trips did not have video games or iPods to keep them busy. Kids actually sang loud and long all the way there and back. "100 Bottles of Beer on the Wall" was the classic song that drove teachers crazy! I just can't get that song out of my head these days.  I am making 100 thank you cards for a library event and every time I finish a card I feel like singing another verse.  This is #34 so that must mean:

"66 cards are left to make, 66 thank you cards! Another one's done! Isn't this fun?  65 thank you cards to make!"

For the PPA Challenge I used Early Espresso, Soft Suede, River Rock, and the new Well Worn DSP.  Thank U is from Pennant Parade. I spritzed Espresso ink around and tied it all together with Baker's Twine and a seam binding bow.  Play at PPA this week and you just might win some Blog Candy :)

LOL You are so right! I remember singing that on the band bus as we on the way home from ball games. Too funny.

Love the card; it has a very vintage/masculine feel to it.

Linda, you are so funny! I cannot IMAGINE making 100 cards---I would need a few beers, and I don't even drink! This is such a fun sketch and you did a great job with it!

Linda This card is the bomb! Love the kadie whoper (sp?) squares tied with twine... so cute. Love the color combo with the DSP and WHITE.. makes it pop too.
PS: I LOVED when things were just simple (mostly... becuase without new technology I wouldn't know YOU and the others in blogland)... and your song is too too cute!

Your post brought back so many memories of the long family car rides to our vacation destinations! But I have to admit, I love your 100 card song better ... you're too funny! As for your card, nothing funny about it, it's exquisite! I love how you positioned your squares and baker's twine!

Great interpretation of the sketch. I really like how you tilted the layers in each square and the different ways you used the twine. And the overall card is lovely, too!

I adore this! Everything is just perfect. Especially those little wrapped packages (or at least that is what I see when I look at it). :-)

Love it as usual, Linda! I always laugh when I read your blog! I hope you don't have to make 100 of the exact same card or you'll be doing more than singing 100 bottles of beer on the wall! :)

Linda, this card is phenomenal. I love the color combination and the way you off set the squares and created texture using the twine and distressed the edges.

100 thank you cards, wow - that's amazing!

Wow Linda.......100 of these! I love how you turned the squares. I can just picture a production line going and now you've got me singing the beer song at 6 o'clock in the morning!

OK... so you got me singing it now, too! :-)
I LOVE this card. the buttons with the twine and the background DSP are fabulous. I love the fact that the card is gender neutral. Another fabulous Callahan creation
