Go Giants!.......FMS21

I know there isn't anything sports related about this card but we were all happy around here when the Giants won the Superbowl!  Since I was designing this card on Superbowl Sunday I was thinking happy thoughts for sure!  Having the home team in the big game makes it even more exciting. And those commercials are always entertaining! My favorite was "Here Weego" - what a cute pup!  But the GE/Bud commercial was extra special.  One of my former third graders was featured in it!  GE turbines are made in our area and he works there. He's the guy who mentions that even as a kid he liked working with his hands.  I love seeing my former students all grown up. He was a cute little redhead - amazing how I can still see those little faces and forget where I put my cell phone! Anyway you can watch it here if you missed it.  So what was your favorite commercial?

My card was made using the retired set Apple Blossoms and Berry Blossoms DSP.  Join us at Freshly Made Sketches!

I love that you remember your 3rd graders...you must be one of the special teachers!

LOVE the card! That "colorful" black strip grounds it so well and makes all the colors so bright and vibrant!

Oh my gosh...my favorite commmercial??? I loved the overweight dog VW commercial and the Matthew Broderick/Ferris Buehler one! Of course, after your heads-up, I paid close attention to your student. That was so cool..I was telling all of my friends to be quiet because "Linda's former student is getting ready to speak". I have a former student who is an aspiring actress. I remember freaking out when she got off the helicopter in "The Dark Knight". You got to see her for about 3 seconds...but in my eyes it was just as great as a major part! lol Of course, your card is such a happy card..sure to be a delight to whomever will receive it! Your cards are ALWAYS fabby!

I always found the particular DSP a bit loud, but you made it shine on this card! Such a great card; I love the ribbon and buttons! My favorite commercials (besides David Beckham) were Sketchers, Oikos, and Doritos with the missing cat.

I came to say how amazing your card is - and it IS! But I think you topped it with the fab story of your former student. I am one of those rare people who didn't watch the Super Bowl, but I did just take a minute to view your link to see what I missed. :->

Back to your card - it is crisp, and stunning! I love how the strip of DP just stands out and brings attention to the flowers.

I didn't get to see too many commercials, 'cause I didn't watch the game (oh yeah, it was on in the other room with hubby). That's neat that a former student was in a commercial!

Pretty bright happy thoughts were definitely poured into this card, Linda! It makes me happy to see it.

Beautiful Card. Love the little buttons at the bottom of the ribbon.

as for the commercials....well, in Canada, they wouldn't let us watch the commercials!!! grrr....even when we went to the american channel, it jumped to a canadian one, very frustrating. :(

Love this Linda! That DP has such great colors. This makes me think that spring is not that far away!

That's very cool that your former student was in a commercial!! I have a tough time picking a favorite but I'd have to go with the Jerry Seinfeld one. I really miss that show!

First of all...Go Giants! Gotta represent my love for my New York roots. How cool that your former student was featured in that commercial. :)

Your card is beautiful, as always. Love the happy colors and my favorite stamp set. I will never get rid of Apple Blossoms...and thanks to your card, I have yet another reason to ink it up again soon.

My fav commercials were the VW chubby pup commercial, the Clint Eastwood commercial (before all of the crazy political controversy...ugh!) and of course, sweet little Weego. Ferris Beuller and Seinfeld were also in the running, just because I loved the movie and the show. Hope you are having a fun week! Hugs! :)

Linda, I love the stamp and paper combo the flowers match perfectly. You have clean down to a science and yet still add all the pizzazz. There was a big celebration here as the Giants won. That was a great game. Our favorite commercial was the new VW bug commercial where the dog had to lose weigh. So cute.
