The regular challenge at Fab Friday this week has been hijacked! The design team changed it up this week to celebrate Mindy Backes and her brand new baby boy Ian! So I created this baby card with love and best wishes going out to Mindy, Jon and their new little guy! If you want the full scoop on Ian's arrival you can check out this post on Mindy's blog. I have to admit that I love hearing everyone's birthing stories. It's just like making cards - we all make cards but we all put our own twist on them! :) OK maybe cards aren't as painful......and they don't keep you up at night.....but then again sometimes........
My husband was teaching in our local high school when my son was born over 30 years ago. A high school gal walked by my room and noticed him in there and waved. A few minutes later she strolled by again.....this time with a friend. Just as they passed the door I heard one say to the other "OMG I can't believe Mr. Callahan and his wife had a baby! They're soooooo old!" I was 31.......sigh............
I used the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch to create the baby card using SU! sets Something for Baby, Celebrate Baby and A Dozen Thoughts.

Very pretty card....your cute story made me think back to high school, and wonder, how OLD did I think OLD was???.lol
Linda, you made me laugh with the baby story. Our perspective sure changes as we get older. I thought I was old having my first at 25!! Great card by the way.
Clever creation, Linda! I am going to need to get a kids stamp set I see! Second time this week I've seen kids cards!
Your baby cards are always adorable and this is no exception! I love the colors and of course, the Candy Dot topping the ring stacker! :)
This card is so cool - I love the circle elements. And BTW, I was 33 when I had my first, but I do remember being at high school and thinking anyone over 30 was old. My parents take great delight in reminding me of that regularly LOL.
It's funny how age warps in the minds of young people. Not too long ago someone in my office mentioned that one of the ladies in the office of my grammar school was retiring and I remember being shocked. I thought she was an old lady when I went to school there! Obviously she wasn't since I was in grammar school 40 years ago!
Linda, Linda, Linda, how I love this card! What a great combination of challenges here. Great story, too. :) Thanks for playing along with this surprise challenge from FabFriday.
What a perfect boy card....and I should know since I have 2 myself! LOL! I really like those circles! Thanks for sharing at Fab Friday!
