Play MISTI For Me.........FMS177

Got some new toys in the mail this week including a few dies and that amazing stamping tool called the MISTI.  I was captivated by the MISTI videos on the blogs of Lydia Fiedler and Jen McGuire and ended up ordering one.  It arrived Monday so we are just getting to know each other -  but so far we are off to a great start!  Crooked sentiments make me crazy and I have thrown away many card fronts because of that!  I have also wasted a lot of paper trying to stamp a sharp image on colored cardstock or designer paper.  No more - thanks to my new friend!  I stamped "birthday" three times in Night of Navy to get a strong image on the Calypso Coral cardstock.  The sentiment stamp was aligned perfectly every time thanks to MISTI.  It is going to be a fun week experimenting with my new toy!

Karren Johnson my very talented friend from New Zealand has a wonderful sketch for us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Hope you play along!

I've resisted buying the MISTI for so long...I'm beginning to cave! I love that you were able to stamp the sentiment multiple times to get a nice, clean image on the colored card stock. Beautiful card, great colors and design! :)

I think MISTI and I are going to be very good friends. Especially after I watched all those videos you made me watch and I realized how sad my life is without her. Thanks my enabling friend!

You are such an enabler :) But I can certainly see the benefits, sigh. And what a wonderful card! I love that "happy" die-cut and the thread is a fabulous touch.

I just got my Misti a couple of weeks ago and I love it! It works better for me than the Stamp a ma jig, plus if my stamp is too light, I can reapply ink to my stamp to darken it!

I just got my MISTI about 2 weeks ago and have only really used it once or twice yet. But what I used it for would have been impossible to accomplish without it. Like you I had to stamp 3 times to get a good impression with my ink. I love that it is a breeze to do that. I'm going to try some of my border stamps next to see what i can do with those in covering a card front.
I see lots of fun in future for me and Misti.

LOVE this card, Linda. Yet another brilliant design. I love the happy for the banner piece of the sketch. And I hereby crown you as the Queen of String. What you do with it always looks so amazing and perfect. Mine looks like a replica of my hair in the morning. UGH.
