We live in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains so a trip to the ocean is definitely a vacation for us! My parents wintered in Florida for over twenty years in their retirement. That meant the Callahan kids got to spend all of their spring breaks growing up......and into adulthood....in Cocoa Beach. In the spirit of full disclosure the Big Guy went the first time and then never again! He hates the heat and don't get him started on the crowds at Disney! So I would pack up the kids and leave him home with the dog for a week or two and head south!
The sand and shells in the jar in the photo were gathered by my daughter on one of her last trips to Cocoa Beach. Such wonderful memories!
This big sentiment makes me smile - certainly good advice for this past year!
I combined both the sketch and the photo this week at Fusion - always fun to do! Hope you join us!

Vacations in Cocoa Beach sound wonderful to me. The Big Guy is obviously crazy! Terrific card. That sentiment is awesome!
Love the sketch and the perfect card - I recently helped my mother-in-law clear her loft and found a surf board that my husband had once brought back to the UK from Cocoa Beach - I'm thinking a jar of shells would have been way easier! Florida is one of my most favourite places ever (LOVE Disney!!)
I totally love this fun and cheery card, Linda. That bold sentiment makes me smile and I love your choice of colors.
Wow, combining the sketch and photo is hard and you came up with a fabulous card! No surprise there, friend! This is a happy one! I have shells everywhere from our trips to the beach, love them!
