Comfort Zones.....FMS446

I am hosting this week at Freshly Made Sketches and I thought it would be fun to try one of the new slimline cards that are becoming so popular.  All I can say is that I learned a lot making this one and got frustrated at times but in the end I powered through.  Amazing how you have to think when you are outside your comfort zone.....different measurements.....more space to fill.....yikes my 6 by 6 DSP squares won't work......and yes I cut incorrectly more than once!  But I hung in there and plan to do a vertical one later this week.  

I will be sending this to a friend who just moved into a new home.  The sentiment makes me smile....and it is oh so true....

A Good Idea

My new coffee set was still on my desk.....my new paper shares were stacked on my desk.....so I decided it was time to straighten up and put things away.  And somehow I got distracted by those paper shares and coffee cups and this card just created itself....with a bit bit of help from the sketch at Cas(e) this Sketch this week.  Bet that never happens to you!

I love the color blocked images in the new set Cute Fruit - which can be found in Stampin' Up's beginner brochure.  The bright bold images are perfect for a summery birthday card!

Press On.....FMS445

Press On is a new coffee set from Stampin' Up!  Lots of fun coffee images and sentiments!  I love the smell of coffee and I love to meet friends at a coffee shop but I am that one drinking tea while everyone discusses their latest coffee flavor!  However we all need something to get us going first thing in the morning.  For me it is a glass of ice cold orange juice!  It's like jumping into an Adirondack Lake before breakfast - wakes you up fast!  

However Benny says he will not be jumping into the lake at all......
